Death Row on the Web
Just found this little article in a Toronto Canada newspaper - interesting. I have not investigated past this article as yet, but I will see if I can find more information.
The article came from NOW August 22-28, 2002 Issue 1075 Vol 21 No 51
"death row on the web"
"In a punitive act that's being called an attack against constitutional rights, the state of Arizona is trying to control and censor Web pages for death row inmates provided by the Toronto-based Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty (www.ccadp.org). The Coalition has teamed up with the American Civil Liberties Union to challenge the state regulation in court. But we don't know what's sadder, Arizona's need to further dehumanize prisoners about to be murdered byt the state or the fact that the coalition maintains over 350 Web pages for death-row prisoners across the U.S."
