View Full Version : I NEED PTO's HELP....PLEASE!!!
JoeysGirl 12-21-2003, 08:28 PM I am asking for everyone's help.....My fiance is currently at Durango Jail.....awating his sentencing. I had people from PTO write a little something for him, some words of encouragement.....things like that.....and I sent them to him, and he cried. It said that they touched his heart....he was so happy!!!
I am hoping that I can get some more people to write something for him, so that I can send him more before his sentencing on January 5th....
He gets sentenced on my birthday!!!! He may be getting 5-10 years......I just need to cheer him up as much as possible.....If anyone can, please write a little something, lettin him know that he is in your prayers and things like that....It would mean a lot to him and also to me!!!
So any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank You
God Bless

LovesInmate 12-24-2003, 02:38 AM Hello Joey,
I remember how hard my bf's sentencing was, but having each others love keeps us strong and motivative for a future together.
I wish the best for you during this hard time. Your lucky to have Lani by your side through this for love and support. Together you can both get through this.
Kaleilehua151 12-24-2003, 05:35 AM Howzit Joey and Lani, My fiance's name is Joey too. I did 3 1/2 years in prison myself and I've been out for 3 years and am now off parole. I know it's hard and no one really wants to go to prison. Prior to my going to prison I was in treatment hoping that maybe the judge would give me another chance, but she shut me down. I had a counselor in treatment who was the bomb, and she was straight up with me. She told me that although I was going to prison and as hard as it will be, I was going in sober, therefore I walk with dignity and integrity. Then she said to me, That I have this opportunity to clean up the wreckage of my past by doing my time, making up all the necessary amends that I had to do, and when I come home, not only will I still be sober, but I will have respect. I had allready accepted my part in my crimes so when I was told that I could clear up the wreckage of my past, those words got me through my 3 1/2 years. On the day I was released I went back to that treatment center and thanked her, and she cried to see that I made it. You can do this Joey, I know, you must have the strength, and you most definately have the support of your partner Lani. I wish you all the best, and take advantage of whatever opportunities the prison system can offer you. If you stay busy, your time will run by fast. Good luck and May God Bless You and Keep You Safe Always. Ditto to you Lani. You allready walk with dignity and integrity.
Aloha, Kaleilehua
dkr55 12-24-2003, 06:12 AM hey hey hey joey,my man it's christmas eve time to smile, your alive, got a great lady rooting for you and alot of friends who really care, so perk up, you could be in his position, lol merry christmas and happy new year.... my baby has 180 days to go on his 10 years, with all the cuts you can shorten your time a bunch.
dkr55 12-24-2003, 06:14 AM okay don't know what happened but its supposed to be santa stuck upside down in the chimney, lol sorry
MsAloha1018 12-24-2003, 11:40 AM Hey Joey, hang in there! We're all rooting for you and your gal who is totally with you. When my Honey was sentanced, he did not want me to be there even though I only worked about 4-5 blocks away from the courthouse. I was so MAD at him because he wouldn't let me be there to support him. If Lani wants to be there for you, please let her. For us who love and support our loved ones who are incarcerated we want to be there to show support and lend strength to our beloved.
Another thing...you and Lani WILL get through this, you can make it as a couple even though you are stuck on the inside. I know this from personal experience, as my guy was sentanced to do an open 10 year stint and has been gone from me for 5 years, 1 month, 27 days and give or take a few hours and minutes. Yet, we're still a very strong couple and wouldn't let prison, separation, other people's opinions or our own insecurities try to break us apart. The road isn't easy, this is true. But you know what they say, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." And having to get through this catastrophe only made he and I stronger individuals which makes us a couple that just can't be beat.
Sorry so long, but I hope that this will help you feel better. Take care, stay strong and healthy, keep your mind clear and focused and you will get through this, I promise you. Blessings to you and Lani now and always.
