Hello all!! I was wondering who here has visted on Xmas day or any holiday period? I am hoping to visit Tito on Xmas day even if for a few hours because i do have plans with my boys and extended family. You all know how much i love this man and i always try to make him happy.

But what i want to know is this. Does the visiting rooms get crowded?? I mean he is now in a minimum but I went today to see my baby and they were asking for volunteers who would give up thier seats!! I looked at tito and said HELL NO!! I am not giving up my seat. I dont care if i am 45 minutes away sh*t. Just like everyone else, I plan my visits, fill up my gas tank, and get my single $ bills for the vending machines. Hell i even bought a new outfit!! LOL :D
Good thing I wasn't asked to leave, because usually those closest to home are the ones asked to leave 1st.

Never been on a holiday and can't get there this time.
I would be there every single opportunity but I don't drive because of vision problems so I'm stuck..sigh
Been trying to find something from this area that goes to Wyoming and Attica in addition to the once a month free other thanthe free bus but no luck so far.
All of you that go..Have a terrific time and get in some extra hugs and kisses while you are there!! lol

Unfortunately,I won't be able to see my baby on christmas due to the fact that he is to far away and I'm spending time with the family and I have my godkids that day. It would be to much of a hassle to try and drag them up there with me for starters and as far as he is, the visit would kill my whole day. But I will be visiting him the following saturday so that will be our christmas. I also sent him a card that should arrive on christmas day, so he knows that he's not forgotten on this special holiday.

Hopefully I will be going to see bryan on the 26th. I hope its not too crowded.God knows i'm not in the mood for the bull. :rolleyes:
I wish his facility had week day visits I could go on my days off .

I went yesterday ... it was a mixed "birthday(mine)/Christmas" visit. The visiting room was VERY crowded - they were asking for volunteers to give up their seats and when they didn't get enough, folks were asked to leave. Thankfully I took the bus up there so it was highly unlikely that we'd be one of the ones volunteered ... there was drama tho' ... apparently a guy was thought to have been passed some narcotics and they hustled him out of there and his visit was terminated. That kind of put a pall over the whole visiting room, but other than that incident it was a good visit.

Have done soooo many holidays in a visiting room and will be there again on Christmas. Usually not crowded and quiet.

I am planning on visiting christmas day the entire weekend. but, this will be my first christmas visit.

I haven't spoke(typed) with you in a looooooong time. congratulations on your marriage!!!

i can't..he is 3 hours away and i have to spend time with my family...we will be making a special trip on 1/2 and 1/3..i have seen him on valentine's before...

As of right now, we are planning on it...but he also has friends flying in from out of town so we have to get coordinated. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I went and saw my man on Thanksgiving and the visiting room wasnt that bad, people come to visit but most will leave early to do thier "thing" with thier families. My visit on the 21st was terminated though do to lack of seating and lots of people visiting, but I dont think that Christmas day will be as bad as people would expect, I think everyone will get thier visits in before or after the holiday, but you never know!!!!!

i went to eastern max on the 23 & and 24 th. it was real nice.

i loved seeing the little children with their dads. it was magick!

kind of bitter sweet, whe we had to leave. the childern where crying. it broke my heart, hearing on little one saying daddy, we're taling you home.

the vending michine man was giving free food while filling the machines

i met some wonederful people while waiting to sign in.

Well, it wasn't Christmas Day but ask me if I care!! lol A friend gave me a trip to see my husband as a surprise Christmas gift, bless him!! We drove out on the 27th and my guy and I had a terrific visit, as we always do.
Lo and behold, I was sitting 'back to back' to SweetPea, too!! It was great to meet someone from PTO as we had been chatting for awhile! WOW!
Now it is almost time for that free bus trip and I am ready!!
