What does "commuted" mean? I can only assume that it's something along the lines of like suspending the rest of her sentence or something????
*** Oh also I like how they say "Convicted Killer Released" instead of something like "Sexual Abuse Victim..." or even " After 18 years...." That wouldn't be as eye catching I guess.

Commuted means that her sentence was changed from life without the possibility of parole to life with parole, essentially, he gave her time served and she is free.
This is a website that tells her story. I saw a documentary on her a few years back. So glad she was relaeased!!!
