My fiance' was paroled from CO to KS and now has a technical violation. They are saying 5 years in KS and then the remaining 30 months in CO. How can this be? They also found a needle and small bags in his apt. He screwed up BUT almost 8 more years? Come on!

I know kansas law sucks. Does he have prior felonies? If so that could be the reason for such a lengthy sentence. My hubby is sitting on two previous felonies and 2 misdomenors and is currently doing a year because of his last drug charge because of a probation violation... I know that if he gets another felony, he's looking at 5 years plus that charge's outcome.
