How accurate is the "Earliest Possible Release Date" listed on KDOC for each offender? My friend should be getting out in April assuming he gets his "good" time. However, on the KDOC website it lists his earliest possible release date as two months SOONER than that, which would be wonderful. It's just inaccurate. Does anyone have experience with this or any info to offer?

The earliest possible release date has always been correct as far as I know...it assumes that all good time will be awarded. Every 120 days they award good time and if the inmate doesnt get all 21 days awarded for that period, you will see the release date move forward. So if he stays out of trouble and gets all his good time, that date should be correct. Maybe you are not figuring in jail time that he was credited for!

I am now finding it isn't accurate at all. My guy's date has been apr. 27th of this year for 4 years since he went in. Now it is less then 40 days to go and the state has not begun the 60 day release process yet and the earliest they will is this Tuesday. I would not count on that at all as now my guy is going to held longer then the release date.

what do you mean the 60 day release process?? i never heard of such a thing...the earliest release date on the KASPER site has always been correct as far as I know....it only moves forward if at the 120 day review not all good time is awarded....and they CANNOT hold him past his release date.....
