MY HEROIN ADDICTION HAS CAUSED ME TO ROB PEOPLE AND HURT THEM....THATS COS ITS ILLEGAL....THEY OUGHT TO DO LIKE HOLLAND AND MAKE IT LEGAL.IVE BEEN TO PRISON TWICE WAS ACQUITTED OF AN ARMED ROBBERY IN FULTON CO,ATL,GA, THAT I DID W/ TWO CO DEF BY KEEPIN OUR MOUTHS SHUT.....ITS NOT WORTH IT I AGREE BIUT I DO BELIEVE THE LAW NEEDS CHANGING.....LIL SECRET...YA NEVER SAY NOTHIN TO THE POLICE....I DATED A CRIMINAL LAWYUER AND THEIR BIGGEST JOKE ABOUT CLIENTS WAS "I ONLY SAID...."LOL YA NEVER SAY NOTHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm an addict too, but in recovery. I also did 3 1/2 years in prison and have been out for a little over 3 years. One thing I firmly believe in today, is that I don't ever have to go back to prison ever if I continue to do the right thing. I don't ever want to have to hurt anyone, especially my family again. If I don't use dope then you know what, My life works for me. I did my crimes which are violent crimes and I did the time for my actions in breaking the law. I learned a hard lesson at the expense of hurting other people, and what gave me that right to hurt anyone who never hurt me. I hope that one day you could get some recovery too and see what happens, I wish you all the best and remember, what Hollywood Henderson says, "Do the Right Thing When No One Is Looking". It works if you work it.

My husband is dead because of one too many heroin OD's. Would he be any less dead if it had been legal?

I totally disagree that it should be LEGAL. heroin is a killer no matter how you spell it.

Veronica, in another thread you said not all heroin addicts rob and kill people, you said you didnt. now in this thread you are telling us that you have robbed an hurt people because it is illegal? I am not trying to pick on you, just trying to understand.

IMO--i do not think it should be legal. if it were legal, everyone and their mother would be able to easily get their hands on it, it will not prevent deaths, it will not prevent crime, it will not prevent a damn thing...same thing w/alcohol..it causes alot of pain, suffering & grief..although alcohol is legal, are you saying we should make coke, speed, E, acid, etc etc etc legal...? cause the way i see it...when one is in their addiction (like DEEP DEEP DEEP in their addiction..as i was a few yrs back)...they will do anything they can to get their DOC (drug of choice)...

Even if it was legal, it would still cost money and people would still take food out of their children's mouths to get it, just the way a person will do if they need a drink or a cigarette. The only one who would benefit would be the addict who could then use all they wanted to without facing jail.

very true toi...although, as you stated in the other thread, addicts & alcoholics, have the ability to stop using & or drinking...but youve gotta wanna do it. and i hope your able to do it veronica..because, your life will be 200% better...good luck chicky.
