Sorry but no conjugal visits in TX. You are allowed one hug and kiss at the beginning and end of your visit. Hand holding mostly depends on the guard over visitation. I have read where some units allow it and others don't. I hope you get to see him SOON!

We went for the first time last weekend, and the visitation was very nice on the general pop side. The guards were mostly ladies and very understanding. It was the first time I"ve touched my son since July 10th and of course I started crying the minute I saw him walk into my side of the "glass" curtain. They were really sweet about it, and my son was MORTIFIED! But, that's what mom's do best! LOL! We sat at a round table for four, with just the three of us, not like the noisy "cafeteria-style" atmosphere at all the other units we've visited. Very pleasant experience, overall . . . I'd give it an 8!!
