i dont understand why Build-a-bear doesnt have like a cute little jail suit..lol maybe its just me and its probably to 'save face' but obviously there are enough families out there that have someone they love incarcerated and they just want a freaking build-a-bear....dajkdsajkhad

I like the build - a - bear thing...and that if you have kids you can have him record his voice saying, "daddy misses you" "i love you" etc....but i think for me personally, I would rather dress my hubby bear in clothes that he normally wears...
that's just me though...

yeeah normal clothes would be cutee...i think because i'm older i wouldnt mind the "jail house attire" buttt yeah for the younger ones everyday attire would be more practical as well as kid friendly!!

wow never thought build a bear would actually even think about having jail house items, as most of the clothes that the bears wear are for the fantasies of children and what they want to be when they grow up, or what they are in their dreams. Or supposed to be a reflection of the child.

I don't think i would buy anything in jail house attire for the simple fact he is already there and i don't need anything else reminding me he is in there. This is just me though, our daughter has a bear and a dog both supposed to be her daddy, one is a dr and one is a chef since he likes to cook.

Once, when one of my best girl friends got arrested and I bailed her out, she came over the next day after I had gotten her out with a check paying me back, some fresh baked cookies, and a build-a-bear...

She had made the build-a-bear, and wanted to put a jail outfit on it, but they don't have them of course, so instead, she bought a white t-shirt and got a black permanent marker and drew the stripes on the shirt for the bear. I thought it was hilarious, and she did it really well. Haha.

I just got a suprise from Casey today, he sent me one of those Vermont Teddy Bears, and he got me the "Jailhouse Rock" one!!! It's so cute! He even got little black boots, a personalized tag, and a little boquet of flowers for it!!! Here it is:
