I am a new member of PTO and new at all this. my husband is in FCI EL RENO. At first it wasn't all that hard for me. But then he got moved from gen population to the SHU. And now i can only talk to him once a week. They told him that he was going to serve the rest of his sentence in the SHU.:(
He has 9 months to go.

Hi Kidswife03 My name is Sarah and I want to welcome you to PTO and to us Okies little corner here. I am not really familair with the Federal system but I will listen anytime you want or need to talk. My fiancee is serving a 7 year sentence we are hoping to see the end of it soon since we go tto parole in Jan 2004 and he is being moved to a halfway house as we speak. I know how hard having them away can be and we are all here to help anyway we can.

THEY WILL MOVE SOME ONE TO THE SHU IF THEY HAVE A SHOT AGAINST THEM. SOME OF THEM STAY THERE FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THERE SENCTANCE. SOME OF THEM GET TRANSFERED TO ANOTHER UNIT AND SOME LUCKY ONES GET
SENT TO HALFWAY HOMES.

Hi Kidswife and welcome to PTO!
I would have welcomed you sooner...but I don't visit the state forums often. You can usually find me in the federal area.
I know how you feel with having him on the SHU. My man..who is in federal as well...has been on the SHU since 11-26-02...yup over a year! And its not looking promising right now! But..no sense in complaining...the BOP won't change for that!
If you ever have questions dealing with the federal system...stop by the federal folder. Hopefully we will be able to assist you!
Glad your here with us!

Hi, I am new to this also. My honey just was moved from Muskoge Co. to Lexington for Assessment and Relocation. Parole Revocated for 6 yr. He better be good and get that time down! We have a daughter that is just 10 months old. We need him around.
