My Boyfriend is doing 26-18 months for probation violation on a forgery case.... he only had a year or so left on paper and he got caught up in the dope game and he stopped going to his PO and he finally got caught.... they tried to revoke his probation 4 times before this one.... he has a really good lawyer and since his dad is a known cop the judge to a liking to him and thought those 4 chance he'd straighten up but he didn't. he has 13 1/2 months left to do.

My fiance is in for 5 years, actually serving 4 years 2 months. He's in for federal arson. He burnt down a funeral home when he was 18. He turned himself in though. And in my opinion he had a very justified reason to burn the building down, lol. Anyway, he has 3 years and 2 months left!!!

My cousin is doing 40-Life for second degree murder(driver in drive-by shooting...she didnt even know it was going to take place), 25yrs added on for gang enhancments. She's only 25yrs old and NOT a gang member!!!! She didn't even have any prior criminal record, not even a traffic ticket!! The court system is all screwed up and can go to hell in my opinion.

Possession of paraphernalia, false informing, criminal trespass (he ran and hid in a deserted building trying to get away from the police, then came to his senses and gave himself up, almost got himself shot in the process startling the cops), and violating probation. He'll be back (home) in 3 months.

My man is facing first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, armed robbery, and aggrevated kidnapping. Louisiana doesn't play when they indict you. They will stick you with ANYTHING they can. He is facing either life in prison w/o parole or the death penalty, the DA hasn't made a decision yet. He thinks he should get the death penalty, he knows he messed up and as much as I don't want that to happen, I will stand by him NO MATTER WHAT! I loved him before he caught these charges and I will love him when its all over.

All of this stuff is absolutely ridiculous!! Some of this stuff is just WAY too much time for these crimes. I thought it was just Michigan, but I think the Criminal Justice System is just screwed up EVERYWHERE in the US. This is nuts and I'm really disheartened by it.

My Baby has had a series of raw deals. When he was 12 he peed on his sister as a joke and his crack head step mom pressed charges on him. He did 2 years in Juvi for a CSC. When he was 17, he went to a party and stole a book of about 50 CDs, at $20 each, got charged with larceny. He also broke some stuff at this wild party, so they added a Malicous Dest. of Property. He was charged as an adult, and his Public Defender talkked him into a plea of 2yrs. 10mo. to 11 years. He did 8 1/2 and was finally released on parole. Thats when we met and fell in love. I live 2 hours away from where he was on house arrest, and he violated parole by being with me the day we found out I was pregnant. I hid him at my house. Eventually we got pulled over and he ran from the police. He was charged with RO/Assault on a Police Officer and Obstruction, Habitual offender. He was going to take a plea for 12 months flat, and his Public defender came to him saying that he had a better deal because both he and the prosecuting atty. had to work on a murder trial...5 yrs. Probation but he had to go plead guilty to everything right away. He did. When sentencing came the judge (the ass that sentenced him to prison the first time) looked at him and said, "I just dont think you deserve a second chance...12 months to 4 years in prison." His ERD is 1/29/09, but his max out date is 2/8/2024...and he never harmed ANYONE. Im devastated!!!

My boyfriend (Marcus who is only 21 years old) went to jail in October of last year because he violated his 10 year probation sentence with possession of a controlled substance & unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (which was dropped because the cops knew that it was a rental the guy was just probably to scared to admit he gave his car out for drugs).. 3 weeks after he was arrested he was sentenced to 77 years in prison now we're trying for an appeal but so far no response.. I also need to get him a new lawyer.. any recommendations?...

my man just got out in march 07 after 5 years, we met and fell in love right afteer that in april 07, then he went back in june 07 for a punk ass parole violation and did 90 days in SQSP, 1/3 of which was in the hole because they claimed thats where he paroled from in march, then when he got out from that in sept. 07, he was home for a week, and his parole officer told him he had to do a mandatory 90 day residential program which is just as bad as cdc he said, THEN... he got out of the 12/24/2007, and on jan. 2nd this year, not even ten days later, ran from a cop when they tried to pull him over for running a red, and now he got the parole violation, and felony evading and DUI for meth and he got 2 yrs 4 mo. with 1/2 for behaving. he only got so long cuz he has two prison priors (this will be the start of his 9th year in prison) and a strike for GTA. he ssupposed to come home around april 09.

My husband is doing 44 months for dui and evading, ...lol he went all of 2 blocks before pulling over. Problem was he was on parole for a bar fight from years back, he had 2 months of parole left when this happened. Screwed up part is, we were moving out to nevada to start fresh, The kids and I came out first and got settled in, he had just come to visit for a week and decided he was gonna move out with us earlier than we had originally planned which was great, he went back to our old town and his buddies took him out for a goodbye party night basically. Well drinking was a violation of his parole so it being his 2nd strike he got 44 months which is his 85%.... but I love him and will be waiting for his stupid but cute butt.

1-3 years for grand larceny, he stole a 4 wheeler while drunk one night (a cry for attention actually, he's an alcoholic). He's since given up alcohol and doing great. He was given rehab twice but bailed out both times, not for alcohol but for the restrictions that were placed. He's getting out after a total of 8 months since he opted for shock camp instead of flat time.

well, my boyfriend is kinda skrewed at the moment. he is still awaiting to be sentenced, but they want to charge him on two counts of assult and a probation violation... 16 years, with a possible plea of 9 at 85% (he has a prior vo). such bull i tell you. not to mention a case he has up north for a dui, they are charging him with 2 different counts for that too, but as a first offense. ugh, such a stress ball for both of us.

My husband had just got out in February 2007 after serving 16 months for Grand Theft Auto. He got arrested in June 2007 and served 2 days in jail after being caught by his parole officer with meth. They gave him a second chance and sentenced him to drug court. So basically all he had to do was go to NA meetings daily, random drug testing and take drug rehab classes. He couldn't just do that and he started using again. Was gone for a week I had no idea where he was. He ended up getting caught up in a high speed chase with the sheriff's dept. He got charged with felony evading, felony possesion of controlled substance, felony possesion of a hyperdermic needle, felony assault on a peace officer. He was facing 10 years but was offered a deal of 4 years. He took the deal and now has to serve 2 of the 4 years. He has 19 months left and my baby is sitting in reception at San Quentin. He has already spent 2 months of his time in the Hole for something ridiculous. Now he has to start reception all over. :(

CNN has reported today (3/3/08) that 20,000 inmates will be released early!!! They are stating it will be "convicts of crack violation", not "career criminals". They did not mentioned whether or not, if other "non-violent crimes" are included in this number.

The early release begins today, which will include the first 1,600 inmates, who have been made eligible already. http://community.jpay.com/Forums//emoticons/emotion-21.gifhttp://community.jpay.com/Forums//emoticons/emotion-21.gifhttp://community.jpay.com/Forums//emoticons/emotion-21.gif They did not mentioned which states are included.

umm, mine is back in for a parole violation [failure to report..]..As stupid as that is..by just not reporting..he is in for 3 months or less. Not too bad...he sees the Parole Board next Tuesday and they will decide to continue parole until June 2008 or reinstate parole after the PRD of June 2008..so not too long, but long enuff for me. Such a stupid thing that could have been resolved if he woulda just reported....jeez..he didnt have anything to hide...not using, not doing anything but waiting to get off parole...so stupid! But, it could always be worse..he is out soon!! thank GOD.

my boyfriend was sentenced for 4 years but has 5 months served he was sentenced on feb 28,08 and is still in county jail.. we have no clue wen he is gonna be transferred. i have a feeling he will only be doin 2 years and 9 months. be cause 48(months)multiplied by .85=(85%)--->40.8
40.8minus (time served)--->5 =35.8 divided by 12=
2.9--->(two years and nine months) he might get even less for good behavior. well this is how i stay possitive about everything ... maby i need to come to reality but i dont care this jus helps me go day by day with out my hubby who hasnt even held his 3 month daughter!

Violation.. he was in a rehab one month before exiting, he was the soul provider for us at the time. We faced an eviction which i would then have an address change of SUV License plate number "its cold", or him paying the monthly fee for the rehab. With no hesitation he paid the rent at our apt and feel behind at the rehab. Now currently serving a year on a 3 1/2 yr tail.. I still blame myself for him being lock up, if only i went homeless for a little while he would be out... He always tells me there was no toss up between having the love of his life out on the streets or facing the consequences on long drawn out case from 2005.

15 do 5 years & 9 years Probation (with a $1,800 fine) so that totals to 19 years probation and 5 years confinement. Possession of a Firearm in the commission of a crime (5 years-confinement), Possession of Marijuanna with Intent (5 years-probation) Possession of Meth(5 years probation), Possession of Meth (5 years-probation), Theft by Taking (4 years probation and $1,800, **This charge was b/s his ex-'s landlord tried to say he stole a PROPANE TANK, you know the big 250 gallon ones that sit outside your house??!!I know he didn't do it, but they were giving him a deal with the drug charges so he didn't want them to re-think anything!!!) His best friend was driving with the 1st charges and he was speeding and they got pulled over knowing what Jeremy had on him, but he didn't care, we think it was a setup but don't have any proof, but those gut feelings are never wrong. Anyways what he did was wrong and we know it, thank God we have changed our way of life and know now that that is not the life for us, so we have changed our ways and aren't going back! He got blessed with his sentencing so we are hoping and praying he'll only have to do 10% because it's only a schedule 1 felony!

My hubby was locked up for VOP.. he was supposed to be on prohbation in Georgia for possession of meth. he did 2 years of his time back in 2005 and was on 3 years probation..he never checked in with his PO .. caught a case in another state for someone else's doing.. then came to Texas.. was living with me for about 6 months had been pulled over before but his warrants never popped up.. we thought he slipped through the cracks.. then january 2007.. we get the cops bust in on us for a Disturbance call at our apartment.. they ran our IDs..and the warrants finally popped up.. he was charged as a Fugitive of Georgia.. held in county jail here in Texas..and the State of Georgia picked him up.. he got his prohbation revoked..and sentenced to 3 years, 1 month and 21 days. It's definitely BS in my opinion.. such a tiny little town spent thousands of dollars to come pick up my man 5 states away over a minor drug charge.. the judge didn't even care that he was actually doing good out here..working.. holding down a place, about to get married and supporting his family.. but whatever. That's how the system works!

He was arrested for 6.8 pounds of marijuana, i bailed him out for 2,000 dollars. Then a couple months later he was arrested in a different county for one pound and a little under 1000 dollars on him. They got him for intent to distribute and sell, possession and intent to sell narcotics, possesion of paraphernalia. The first case he got a year and a half. The second case he got 2 and a half years. They run consecutive.
And he also got a bail jumping felony charge for getting caught in another county while on bail in one. That gave him 2 extra years on papers. Altogether, he will have 9 years on papers. He recently got accepted into CIP so he has a little under 6 months before he can come home. then the 9 years start.

My man was in for 14 years for bank robbery. Then he was sent to a federal halfway house and he walked away. So now he is in jail for escape. Not sure how long he will get now, but the most is 5 years, which we don't think he will get. We can handle whatever is thrown our way.

Mine is in for a little theft charge, because a girl he was sorta seeing at the time wanted him to prove to her he could take something, and not get caught, well he did, he took a DVD player from a van, and a neighbor called the police. We had just met each other about a week before this happened, and it took a year to get through court, he had a public defender putting off the case in hopes they would just drop it since it was something really trivial. He's had some time served for other things over the years, so he has to serve a year in DOC, and a year parole, he will be home August. He knows he did wrong, so he was not surprised they put him back in, but he said this will be the last time.

My husband got unlawful imprisonment in the 1st 2-4 non-violent which will run concurrent to his parole violation thank goodness. But way better than the kidnapping 1st, robbery 1st, assault 2nd, and a few misd. I will take it, hopefully its his last bid

My boyfriend stole money from a client he was doing private duty for in a nursing home. He hasn't gone to trial yet, so I don't know how long he'll be locked up. He was saying it might be 2 months, or he could get house arrest but he doesn't know yet. He's been sitting in jail for 3 weeks now because they keep canceling his trial.
