Texas House of Representatives

Dear Representative:
I am respectfully writing this letter to express my strong support of HB 1423, and call on you to consider reviving this bill and introduce it during the next 81st Regular Legislative Session of January 13, 2009.
I must point out that in my opinion, it is a primary foremost to give this bill a chance and continue lobbying for it.
As a taxpayer, I sense the necessity for putting an end to indefinite long-term solitary confinement of inmates that do not warrant this inhuman treatment. In fact, I have learned that this is the most expensive form of incarceration and feel my tax dollars are being wasted supporting a policy that returns offenders back to communities with no means of rehabilitation and worse off than when arrested.
I request that you please give every possible consideration and resubmit this bill on January 13, 2009
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
