Hi Everybody!! Can I hide from the crazy people up in here? I was shopping over the weekend and people are really harsh!! I watched 2 ladies shove eachother over the last item of a good deal at walmart on friday!! And a 20 year old kid blow a stop sign in the mall lot and hit my back door. He is lucky my daughter was not hurt. I miss that their dad used to be one of the crazies out there with me, u could always count on him to do the toys part of the shopping. I think he's worse than the kids in the stores!lol... I feel so bad for all the drama in visiting for the month of november. So far he is still there and up in the air about if he is staying or what. So thankfully for now I dont have to go up there. The little bit of cash I have can go to my babies Xmas! I really feel for you all, I went thru it in July. I hope for everyones sake somebody does something about this!! When does the fog die down, is it really bad? Does it snow on the way up there? I never had to go this far north to visit? Happy Holidays everybody!!

Hello ladies I copied this from General Prison talk hope no one minds.

YOU ARE INVITED TO:

Call in Your Holiday Cheer and Support for the Men In Blue!

Friday December 1 6-8 Pm 530-265-0365
Holiday Calls for New Folsom/ Old Folsom Prison and surrounding areas, Vacaville, Solano and juvenille camps in the Sierras can hear this special programming produced by Kvmr's Cheri Snook and Mike Thornton in the 2nd Annual call in show. This show is Pre Recorded and will be aired on Christmas Day.
You do not have to be a family member, you can be a local community supporter with a simple call to wish the men a holiday cheer of your own, you can be creative with a poem, a song or a story or a fun story to brighten their day. Just letting these men know they are not forgotten.
Some families will call in with support, and many will not for so many behind bars do not have familiy.
Last year I received letters from men who listened to this special programming responded with overwhelming joy and a awakening that people on the outside do care about them.
Nothing could mean more than a simple phone call. How often can that happen?
Free Christmas cards are available at the Kvmr mail boxes if you would like to pick one up sign it and return it to the Santa Mailbox, the elves will deliver to them December 21 when our local entertainer's Earth Rhthym Dancer, Kelly Flemming, and Kimberly Bass will be performing inside the prison and will be sharing their experience on Kvmr Tuesday December 22 9Am with Host Cheri Snook.

Many Thanks for your participation to bring light into the darkness during the holidays.

Peace.
Cheri

Fog is crazy these days meximami! But I would like to share what I heard about new procedures for weekend visiting. Just what I heard not official in any way, the word is that if they need to continue doing the fog line and count on Sat. &/or Sun. mornings they are going to escort prisoners over to visiting right up until the last possible minute than do a count like they do on Fridays in an effort to keep the wait for visitors to a minimum. The guys will be out-counted like on Fridays. Just what the word is in there, my guy did not see a memo or anything. I went on Friday because I didn't want to end up siting in the visiting room again for over an hour and a 1/2. But instead I waited out side visiting room A processing center until almost 3pm while they interrogated a visitor who was found with contraband in her pocket... dang if it's not one thing it's another.

Blessings, Ally

it's always something these days... week before last it was a visitor caught with "contraband in her coat pocket" (so I hear); took forever and 10 C/O's... held us up for almost an hour. last friday there was no one to process visitors on A side so the bus driver had to drive over then process the group then get another bus load and process them... etc etc etc... i do have to say she was so apologetic about it.. she is a sweet heart that one!

don't even get me started about thanksgiving.

good luck and welcome to solano forum!

Hoe did she get caught with it? You could probably smell it on her. Twit. I love their dad, but not that much. :) I love the kids more. I hope she was not with kids. Merry Christmas to you all. I hope that visiting goes well for you all this weekend. And that staff moves it along with the quickness. I have not been there since July, and once this bonehead keeps himself out of trouble, I will be going back, I think. I am keeping my fingers crossed they move him close to me. He is a level 3 now, which by the way thank you ladies, for the info, he is in a dorm right now, limited privleges.Hey question. On msmbc last night I saw this show, not "Inside" but another that is documenting 5 inmates at CSP Solano, these guys who are in a therapy group and confess their crimes. Pretyy interesting series, but, I am wondering, they did a piece on the HIV and the hep c stuff, and the education classes there for those things, and they showed the cdc wearing latex gloves and stuff. Are all those guys in with gen pop too? Iknow my husband said the cmf is next door. So they are seperate? When they showed this guy, going on his yard and his buildings, it was like 6,7, and 9 they kept showing. Is that on the medical side? Do I need to be worried about something like that were we visit. #23 is his building. We take that bus to the back. Thanx for the info ladies. Be safe and god bless!!!

I heard the lady had it in her coat pocket... I saw her leave on the bus and she did not have kids with her... if they arrested her it was after she got back off the bus on the B side visiting...

Yes visiting went pretty smooth today except for the fact that they terminated visits right after count :-( oh well.

As for his building and level... that doesn't make sense to me... building 23 is on a level 2 yard. Yards 1 & 2 at Solano are level 3 and yards 3 & 4 are level 2 yards. I'm positive that building 23 is on 4 yard... so this doesn't make sense to me. You said he was in trouble so he's probably in a "C Status" dorm right now and maybe there's no room to move him to the level 3 yard yet... I don't know.

My guy is positive for hep C and he's in General Population.. as for HIV positive in-mates, I'm not sure how they handle that. Maybe someone who knows will post. The only way I know of that Hep C is transfered is blood to blood... for the most part it is transmitted via needle, either IV drug users or tattoo needles or a transfusion. They ALWAYS use gloves everywhere anytime they are having contact with in-mates and visitors. I know there are lots of guys on meds on 4 yard. Not sure what all they are on them for but my guy has said a lot of psych meds as for HIV meds ???

I saw that show too... it looked to me that they shot some on yard 1 and some on yard 2.

Hope this helps.

Holiday Blessings, Ally

As far as I know Yard 4 dorm 23 is a Level 2 yard for sure

Visiting was a long process again for me getting in yesterday. I was lucky that I made it in just 10 min. before count or I would have had to wait to after 5:30 to get in as I understand it? I was number 120 also and got there around 10:45. I heard Fridays went smoother and not so busy but because of the Holidays I guess it was taking much longer. I also saw some ladies wearing scarves and gloves but I didnt want to chance it and then get sent back to change ya know. Getting into visti there is such a long drawn out process and very frustrating but most of that all fades away when I finally make it into the visting room and get to hug and kiss my Husband.

ya, he was in 23 and I know he's in another building now, kind of up in the air as to if he stays and hits a cell, or if they are moving him to a new facility alltogether. I am thankful 4 your info. hahaha didn't mean to call anyone a hoe, I meant HOW!!! Oops. I was talking with my sister and ya, I had my facts all screwed up. I was worried about the contact with people coughing when she told me tataduh... that is TB. Well I hope you all have a great weekend in visiting and meet NO HOLDUPS!!!

I've never been terminated on a Friday until last Friday. Depending on how things are progressing, yes you will be waiting till 5 or 5:30 if you don't get in before 3:15 on a Friday... I know it's happened to me, my first visit... learned that lesson fast!

Yes it has been frustrating... especially recently... everything you can think of... no gas in the van, visitors being caught with contraband, no staff to process so the bus driver had to do it, fog count, just plain old not calling him for his visit, broken vending machines, and terminating almost every visit.

If you ever wait more than 30 minutes for your loved one... tell the CO in the bubble! Not the one in the waiting area, a CO that can go in the back... make him/her take your pass so he/she is sure to call your loved one's building! They are supposed to call from the main visiting entrance when you are first processed/check on the computer but sometimes they don't!

You're ok with scarves and gloves, just remember to list them on your pass where you list your jewelry. Damn cold standing out there and now they will only let 5 in for processing total and you have to wait for the C/O to waive you in cause there is 4 people bunched up on the other side waiting to go into the sally-port. Also, they are cracking down on going SLOW through the metal detector... really be sure to check your buttons and snaps... best if they are plastic.

And yes... it all seems to fades away when your eyes meet his.... don't it?!?!?!

New Year Blessings to All! "firewks::HNY:
