There are a lot of people behind bars that truly deserve to be there and many of these take advantage of the American Indian people by claiming to be such to get support from the outside world. In many cases they get a photo of a indian bro and claim it is themselves so if you have pen pals asking you for:

money
nude pictures
Sex letters
start to make wild stories about this and that which he/her need for for
asking you to write letters to private persons

Just to mention one example in texas a hispanic inmate have been conning for 15 years and even though we have it on files that he is no Indian many still follows him and think there is a conspiracy against,he varies his tribal affiliation all depending upon whom he gets in touch with and there has been 10000 + that he has been able to scam people for. Money he shares with a french woman.

Reminds me of that old song "I was country before being country was cool." A lot of us were Native American before being Native American was cool, too, huh? If a person wants to scam, they'll figure out a way to do it, no matter what.

Yes Ive had scam artist before. Not that they said they were Native since I write to any one who is nice but Ive had guys trying to get money and pics. Plus Ive had some down right creepy guys who I was sometimes scared of. But for the most part Ive meet some very nice guys and I consider some of them very good friends. So just be careful what you tell people. But have fun.

Why dont you contact Jessie to get him off the list and Texas do list many American Indians as hispanic as then they dont have to fullfill thier obligations due to free exercise of religion. This has been a problem in Tejas for years,so before you jump to conclusions it may be a good idea to ask if the inmate mentioned can prove his ancestry as I am very certain that you dont wanna wrongfully accuse anyone.

While its important to out those who aren't telling the truth, I feel that outing them in public here on PTO is not appropriate. After consulting with a PTO Administrator, I have edited the names from the posts in this thread.

Please discuss any suspected wrong do-ers privately via Private Messaging.

:( sorry folks i did not know that Texas had this policy. if the word Hispanic actually appears on a persons birth cert then surely that is what he is legally?

i am also releived that names have been removed , however we are still anxious to obtain info ref the identity of tha guy mentioned in the article by WINYAN . i must stress that this is not a case of "the vindictive ex" syndrome , but a quest for truth and justice. no decent woman should ever "roll over & die " when she has been a victim of such cruel deceit and extortion , we need answers in order for the appropriate action to be taken . men this need to be stopped in their tracks , via their dispicable actions, they are breaking hearts and lives on the outside , unless someone speaks up , this disgusting practice will continue unabated... to keep silent /do nothing gives them full permission to secure their next victim . if anyone can help pls e-mail me privately , love & peace
