View Full Version : Johan Nel
joshdudley 11-26-2008, 06:31 AM I know this is a rather morbid question to ask, but I hear Johan Nel, the White farm boy from South Africa who went crazy and shot 10 Black people in a racial attack, has been sentenced to 169 years in prison.
Assuming he has not been taken into protective custody, do you think in a South African prison system dominated by Black people he will actually survive or will he be killed?
Keltria 11-27-2008, 12:14 AM To be brutally honest.... I have had this discussion with members of my family and friends and No... we dont think he is going to make it.
The boy is very disturbed... for that I blame his parents because of the fact that they brainwashed him for a long time, telling him that the black people were going to kill them. (Yes lots of farmers are killed here in South Africa, it is a dangerous place). I am a white South African who lives in fear constantly, but I dont tell my kids that the black people are going to kill them.... I feel terribly sorry for the boy... and hope that he ends up in some kind of protective custody.. but I cant see it happening, I really cant. If he does however survive this he will be eligible for parole in 25 years I think.

I know, the Boer genocide is neglected by a lot of people, which is a travesty. Still its not an excuse to shoot 4 Blacks dead because some of their race attacked your farm.
I think if the ANC government did more to help White people then this may not have occured, but who knows?
He'll probably be dead pretty soon, mind you, Eugene Terre'Blanche survived 3 years in prison and he was hardly a favourite among Blacks lol.
If he's disturbed why was he imprisoned and not put into a mental hospital?
Keltria 11-29-2008, 10:45 PM LMAO - Sorry, but I wont get into politcal debates. And I am going to say this... "When the shoe is on the other foot.... we will see what re-action you have". I dont think people actually understand the severity of the problem when it comes to farmers.
Why is he in jail and not a mental hospital. I dont thnik he is mental, I think he is disturbed. His parents brainwashed him as far as I am concerned. I dont think he actually cares about what happens to him.

His parents didn't need to brainwash him, if I'd had the same experience as him I'd probably feel how he did.
Severity of the problem? Its pretty obvious, they're being murdered en masse, in most cases the killers don't even steal anything, its targetting White people and the ANC are turning a blind eye, they're no better than the National Party in that respect.
Keltria 12-22-2008, 11:17 AM Actually I dont think anything really happened to him that was that terrible. His parents are to blame for what he did. They kept on telling him the blacks were going to kill him and his family. They brainwashed him into the hate he had for the black people.
That there is genocide amongst the farmers, is a truth, but the fact is that he killed those people and he did it because he was repeatedly told by his parents that it was going to happen to them. You tell a child things like taht often enough they are going to end up disturbed enough to go on the rampage.
I feel honestly that the parents are mostly to blame for what he did. But that is only my opinion. I hope he is okay though and that he survives his experience. But he will fear for his life there that is a fact. SA prisons are hard.

He was misguided probably, I'm sure there is a deep undercurrent of racism that still exists among rural White people in SA, I don't deny that, vestiges of the Apartheid era and before. BUT. I'm 100% that the brutal attacks on surrounding farms, and even on one of his friend's farms, by Black people exacerbated the situation and made him even angrier.
He lashed out at innocent people. But if the SA government was doing its job and hanging the despicable creatures who murder farmers and their families perhaps he would not have had that anger at Black people?
Keltria 01-24-2009, 04:36 AM Wow... are you South African by any chance?
