Has anyone had any positive and/or negative experiences with the warden/assistant wardens at Telford Unit?

Not with the warden/assistant. I have had a guard be very rude and unprofessional at visits to me for no reason. Example we were just starting our visit and I couldn’t hear him, I asked nicely can we move to another one, this one isn’t working? Response was “ You don’t get to come in here and pick the place you would like to sit, they are assigned” My response was “I know that I just want to be able to hear him” after that she moved us. And she cut our time short by 30mins. That’s what I’m talking about rude, unprofessional. I was going to report it. Then I decided just to let it go. Maybe she just had a bad day. But the same attitude has been demonstrated on other occasions. What I did I prayed about it.

Now for a positive experience when different guards were on duty. It was my birthday and he asked for extra time and they gave us a whole hour. That usually NEVER happens. It was a blessing.

Over all though I believe a higher power was at work in both cases.

I have spoken to the warden's secretary. she's ok! Actually, she was very helpful. As far as the guards, they are something else! I'm serious. They are so nosy and even rude at times. I stay to myself. I really don't like talking to them. Some of them have even told my husband that I'm mean. II quess they feel like that because I don't give them any attetion. I don't conversate with them at all. Honestly, I don't like that unit. :(

Telford is the only Unit I know.
I don’t socialize with the guards. I don’t want to say anything that they may misconstrue and use it against James.
I’m only supposed to receive general visits but they’ve made a mistake and gave us 1 contact visit. One of the guards questioned it because they’ve seen me in as a regular visit but he didn’t raise any issues. Thank goodness.

There are the good and the bad where ever you go inside and out. I try to focus on seeing my hubby and making the best of it til he is home. That is his time to sorda have a happy day and we have got to be strong and not sweat it. Do not get me wrong I have seen as much good treatment as bad. And you can not let them break you cause we have got to be there for our loved ones!!

My hubby and I make the best out of our visits. We ignore everything oround us. It's all about us! :) Like I said, I don't like that unit but there is nothing I can do about it. I just go and have a good time with my baby and thats about it.
