Getting to the conference

Flying to Houston

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is a hub for Continental Airlines. Continental fly to many destinations in the US as well as internationally.
They are a large airline with a wide schedule.

Houston Hobby (HOU) is also a busy airport that is more dedicated to domestic flights than international, it is a little closer to The Galleria than Intercontinental.

Both airports are within 25 miles of both the Conference venue and the suggested accommodation.

Getting to the conference

Driving to Houston

From Intercontinental Airport to (Marriott Hotel) conference venue:

Hotel direction: 25 miles SW
Driving Directions: Follow signs out of Airport to Beltway 8 South/45 South. Take the highway Beltway 8 South to Interstate I-45 South. Take highway ramp to Interstate 610 West. Continue on Interstate 610 West to Interstate 610 South. Proceed on Interstate 610 South for approximately 5 miles. Exit Post Oak Blvd. Proceed on access road passing through Post Oak Blvd remaining on the feeder road of Interstate 610. Hotel entrance is on the right hand side of the access road of Interstate 610 South.


From Hobby to Conference Venue:

Hotel direction: 14 miles NW
Driving Directions: Follow signs out of Airport for Interstate 45 North. Take Interstate I-45 North to Interstate 610 West. Follow interstate 610 West to Interstate 610 North. Exit San Felipe. Turn left at light. Hotel entrance will be on the right approximately 500 feet.

From Intercontinental to Holiday Inn (accommodation):

Distance: 25 MI / 40.23 KM South West to Hotel
Take Highway 59 South and exit at Newcastle staying on the feeder road through 2 traffic lights. The Holiday Inn near the Galleria will be on the right.


From Hobby to Holiday Inn:

Distance: 20 MI / 32.19 KM North West to Hotel
Take Interstate 45 North to Highway 59 South. Follow Highway 59 and exit at Newcastle staying on the feeder road. Follow the feeder through the Richmond Avenue intersection. The Holiday Inn near the Galleria will be on the right.

Thanks to some advice, we have contacted Continental Airways to see if they can offer a discount code for PTO conference attendees.
