I got this from a forum i belong to. Thought maybe it would be of help to someone.
I just called the 800# Visitor Info line & at the end of the recording for New Folsom, there was a message saying that Welcome House/Friends Outside services will be suspended as of September 1st & will resume after the passage of the State budget.
Among other things, that means you'd better have some alternate clothes & shoes available in case your attire is disapproved.
I don't know if this also applies to other prisons, but I would guess it does. Best to call & find out before you visit (800/374-8474). CSP-Corcoran has the sign up on the door of the Friends Outside trailer
