Ok the time for the parole hearing for my hunny is getting so close and coming on one hand so fast on the other so slowly and my nerves are completely shot with all of this and the holidays. I mean we have only a little over a month before the hearing. I am waiting for the board to contact me for a home walk through and all that and trying to figure out what to say to these people when the time comes. Not to mention the recent money worries that have plagued us.... GRRRRRR

I just want to crawl in a hole and not comeout till they say he can come home.

I know just what you mean! We don't go up for parole until April but already I'm going nuts! I'm so worried about what I'm suppose to say to those people and all that. So when yours is all over, please help me?! I don't know but I was thinking that they don't come to your house until afterwards, after you know for sure that they have made parole. I'm sure it will all be a big blur but try to remember everything so you can help us. And about that hole, make sure it's big enough for two, I'm joining you! I wish you guys the very best!!! I will keep you in my prayers. He will make it!!!!!!!!!!!

MommaHen -Who could be calm?!!!Just remind you that you can only do your best. There doesn't seem to be much logic in the thinking they use to make decisions so its out of your hands. Just be yourself , remember all of us here who love and support you-no matter what! Give me the dang shovel, I'll dig! : )

Howdy from Wales to all you Okies and everyone else!

I'm sure you'll be fine, MommaHen when the time comes for the parole hearing. Stay positive, no negative thoughts, they are a waste of time and energy. Just remember that obstacles are those things that appear in front of us when we take our eyes off our goal.

MommaHen, Wishing you all the best. I'm sure your nerves are a mess because I know mine are and my Stephen doesnt go until Mar 2004. There is something about letters to the board and things that I dont understand or know what to say. Is there anything that you can tell me. Or maybe step by step walk me through what I need to do and when to do it? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Praying that all goes well and Terry will be home soon. Keep your chin up and your eyes on The Lord.

Well I am totally winging this myself but I will tell you what we have gotten together and his case managers all think he is a shoe in for getting the parole boards recommendation but no one is sure what the governor is doing on the cases it seems. I have letters from my land lord saying that I have been here for x amount of months and that she has no problem with Terry moving in. I have statements from friends and family that they will help get him to and from places he needs to be since he cant drive , we have a listing of the local AA chapters, he has a sponsor lined up for AA, we have a list of our short term and long term goals and research on things to show he is really planning for a positive future, I wrote a letter saying what I felt about the changes he has made, my role in his life and futrure, of course we have all of his evaluations, classes he has took his AA certificates his GED and such. He also wrote a long letter telling them about the changes he is making and the regrets he has for the mistakes he made in his past. As for when I go as a delegate I have decided to speak from my heart and to let God lead me to what I should say!

MommaHen Thank you so much for the information. It will help. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The last part was so beautiful about how you will just speak from your heart at his parole hearing. May God be with you always.
