I got up at 2:30 am, got to the pick up spot by 3:45, stood there, with a bunch of others, until 8am....that's when we found out (by calling friends of friends and whoever knew anybody at other pick up lcoations) the free bus tri[s for today were cancelled cancelled YESTERDAY!!
Now I am sitting here bawling my eyes out, it's the only way I get to see my husband on any regular basis (because I am legally blind and don't drive)..., this was to be our Christmas visit, as well as his 40th birthday (end of dec) visit. The bus runs again in January!!

Yes, I know there was a lot of snow around but that was YESTERDAY not today. All forecasts for today for Albany, for Syracuse, for Rochester, for our destination (Attica, Wyoming) call for cloudiness and maybe a little snow...not more than 3 inches and only a 30 percent chance of that but they go and cancel people's Christmas visits!!
Some, going the other way to Albany area, waited even logner since they had to be there by 3:30 for the bus and they were still there with me.

I am sooooo disappointed and I know my husband will be also. My day was suppsoed to be filled with love, light, laughter and time with my guy now it will be spent in tears for the most part.

Well, you do have one consolation and that's that he probably knows it was the snow that stopped you from coming. When visits are cancelled for other reasons that he can't make a good guess why, then he'd be very worried, but by now he probably knows the bus was cancelled yesterday and he'll be able to guess that it must have been today, too.

I'm so sorry you didn't get to make your visit, though! I know how very disappointing that is for you. I wish there was something I could do to change it.

Thanks everyone, this has helped and My guy called a few minutes ago, he says that he THINKS that when a bus is cancelled they reschedule it for the following week...so I am going to get on the phones first thing tomorrow and see if I can find out if that is the case or not. I sure hope so.
With what so many go through I suppose I should be counting my blessings and I will, the disappointment was just a little overwhelming for a bit. I am very fortunate to be on the bus' path and I DO get that once a month visit!!!

my husband told me on saturday that the free bus was cancelled. I wansn't scheduled anyway . I was suppose to go to see him but i couldn;t afford it. I hope that you get to go next week . Well good luck and also you are in my prayers.
