I was just wondering how do you get approved for the vistor list? I worry about all the little things. I have been arrested before. But it was nothing big. So I was wondering if I will even get approved to see him when he gets to Kilby.

it doesn't matter if you have been arrested before. what does matter if you have warrants out for your arrest now.

Yup. Even former ADOC inmates can be approved for an inmate's visiting list as long as they don't have any current trouble.
Really the only other reason I've ever heard of anyone not being approved is if it's an unrelated female to a male inmate and he already has another unrelated female on his list, or vice versa with males to female inmates.
Might take a couple of weeks for approval depending on the facility, but you'll more than likely be approved as long as you're warrant free and trouble free now.

I have a question...what is you have misdemeanor warrants in another state? My husband will be getting extradited from CA to Kilby sometime in the near future (I think). I have a couple of checks that bounced on my own account when I got sick two years ago. They are misdemeanors but, will they keep me from being able to visit him? He says no...but, I am worried.

I think it's probably a tossup and just depends on whether they find it or not when they do whatever all they do in the approval process (which I don't think anyone knows what they do for real lol). If it was just past misdemeanors on your record I think you would pass... I don't know how it would go with outstanding warrants though. The only thing you can really do is let him submit you on the list and they'll either say yes or no.
Sorry I don't have a more definitive answer, but that'd be my best guess.

I wouldn't worry either, bc i have several drug charges & was even arrested the nite before he was in court for sentencing on FTA on drug charges, but had absolutely NO problems getting approved. Cant say the same for his sister though, ( although between me & you, he didnt want her to visit so he lied & told her that she was denied visitation, lol) All he wanted was her money & long, boring letters, just to make her think he cared, can you blame him? You gotta do what you gotta do to get by in there. I think you'll be fine!
