As you all know, my friend Claudia's husband is due to be murdered tonight in Texas. Things are not looking good by the sounds of it. I am off to call Claudia in a moment (just got in from work 8.55pm!!). I hope no-one thinks I am jumping the gun here (I am on UK time) but should the worst happen, I have started an email account for Claudia where messages of condolence can be sent. I will be checking this account to make sure no hate mail comes into it and then I will give Claudia the pass word so she can read the messages.

I just wanted to say thank you to a) Joy for posting this thread (as I rarely post here) and b) to those of you who have sent emails to the account for Claudia. Last count we had 30 which is great : ) Thank you all for being so kind and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

yes that is fine too. I just started this account because I didn't want any loons sending her hate mail - she got a lot of it before the execution and I told her to report the people in question to their providers as it was nasty stuff - and totally uncalled for.

Claudia and Gary's story is heart-wrenching. Claudia is in inspiration to many. I really beleive as she tells her stories many people who are pro-death penalty will change their minds.

I sent a message also, but it was so hard to think of the right words to say. What can you say to someone who lost their soulmate to the stupidity of this f***ed up world? I just pray that God blesses her and helps heal her heart...You know its crazy...I couldn't put myself in that position...I don't think I could make it. She must be a very strong person...
