I'm permanent absentee ballot status, and I already mailed my vote on the first week of October. I voted NO for everything except Prop 12 (Veterans Home Loan bond), Prop 5 (Drug Rehab), and measure RR in my Los Angeles County (bond issue for Mount San Antonio College, which I'm attending as a full-time student). Oh, and I voted for Obama, but I personally preferred Hillary Clinton. On Prop 2, I fail to see why we need to treat animals humanely, who are already destined for the slaugther house. Is this to imply meat will taste better when animals are allowed more room to move around in ?? On Prop 8 (gay marriage recognition), I find it ironic that a significant amount of $$ spent to promote this, are coming from Mormon Churches outside California who endorse and support polygamist marriages :eek: ‼ I mean, come on people ‼ It's wrong for 2 men or 2 women to marry, but it's OK for a guy to have 2, 3, or more wives ‼ Does this give new meaning to HYPOCRISY ?? And how about these allegations of incest among polygamist (who are fierce supporters of protecting the institution of marriage) ?? As I recall 6 or 7 months ago, when they raided that Zion Ranch in El Dorado, Texas, one guy defiantly said to reporters "...marriage between cousins is allowable under Texas law." As I understand it, the $$ to push Prop 8 are coming from questionable religious groups who need to examine themselves in the mirror, before they question gays and lesbians ‼ Here's a news link (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122367616172524275.html?mod=googlenews_wsj) that says the Feds are expanding their criminal investigation into Utah and Arizona, following that raid in Texas months ago.
