Ok so I am going for my 3rd visit to see him tomorrow. I have been to other places to see him but for some strange reason I have a dislike for this place. The last visit I had there was horrible. I was happy to see my man but at the same time there was that one particular guard. Now ya'll that lady was a real piece of work. OMG!! She wouldn't let people hold hands, stand close to the men or nothing. It almost reminded me of back in the old days when you couldn't dance close to your partner. I hope this visit is better.

So the visit today was wonderful. The guards were nice and friendly and it was just great. I got to talk to my man about eveything that was on my mind. I got all my kisses in with him and he ate good too. Afterwards the group of people I went with ate good too. I had a great time today. I am tired as all get out but I still had a great time.

Glad your visit was a good one. I take it the hard lady co wasn't there.
I know it was nice to see your guy eat good. I used to go to the snack shack and get W all kind of stuff on visits. He would eat a little, but carry stuff back in with him. He was in a work release, so as long as it wasn't opened he could carry in like ten items.
Like I said,,,glad it was a good visit.

Thanks! No she was not there. His absolute favorite food is hot wings. So he got two things of hot wings and some drinks and then some chips. He cam back to the table and asked me if I thought he was being greedy I said no. You should eat as much as you want. Then he also had a Klondike bar later and I asked him if I could lick his fingers. If we could have more visits like that......... I had the best day ever yesterday.

That's good, I'm glad you had a good visit and glad that wicked wench wasn't there. Most of the staff there on visitation days are really nice.

There were all guy CO's except one older lady and she was nice. Then towards the end there was a mean lady who came up. I wonder if they have to be like that all the time? My baby says that the men understand. I hope when they go to 12 hour shifts what's going to happen.

Yeah, pretty much all the guy COs at St. Clair are nice and pleasant. It's always kind of been my opinion that COs like that woman we're talking about should never be allowed to work visitation.
People like that one give COs in general a bad name and even tho we family members and loved ones are "inmate families" - we're still the "public" and many of us are not only citizens but voters.
And ADOC with their continuing budget problems really should always be a little more concerned about what kind of public face their staff presents to visitors. I mean, really.

You said a mouthful right there. I completely agree with you on all of that. They don't seem to realize that we are voters and that we do have a say.

Ok, so I had my last visit with my guy for 6 months because he was put on restriction. I couldn't kiss him the way I wanted or nothing there were at least 6 or 7 guards on the yard. He couldn't sit facing me, we couldn't hardly do anything. Then when it was time to leave they were just harsh. There was one man who I tell you he was the meanest man I ever met. I wanted to cry when I left but I didn't because I didn't my baby worried about me and then deal with us not being able to see each other. I am going to be stuggling these next few months. I mean it is bad enough that he is locked up but to know that I can't visit him or talk to him on the phone either I mean the holidays are coming up. I hope we make it through this tough time that man is my all.

Oh, I am so very sorry, MsR. That's terrible news. And I've been there done that - the months without visits as well as visits behind glass.
I hope the next six months passes quickly for you, in the meantime PTO'll be here. Hang in there.

Thanks Lysbeth. I did get to talk to him yesterday. The first thing he said was that he missed me and the second thing he said was that he loved me. We both sounded pittyful on the phone. He said he may not have to do all 6 months if he is good. He may only do 3 so, I have my fingers crossed and hopefully my prayers will be answered.
