I receive a letter from ♥♥, and she neglected to seal the envelope  However, I'm also suspecting the CO's ordered her not to seal the envelope so they can read her letter. In my last letter, I had included a SASE white envelope that had a peal-n-seal adhesive strip. Suspecting she was ordered not to seal the envelope, I wrote in my last letter maybe the COs are on to me. That they're ascertaining to make sure she had not drawn a map layout of VSPW, showing which building she's housed in.

I fabricated a fictitious escape plan of breaking into a US Army base, steal an Apache AH64 helicopter gunship (complete with a full rack of missiles and 30mm chaingun) fly over to VSPW, take out the guard towers, land the helicopter and liberate her. Then we're going to fly down to Mexico, sell the AH64 to druglords for $10 million, then use that money to start a new life.

Do you think the mailroom CO's are going to take this seriously, and reject my letter for forbidden topic of escape conspiracy ?? I was hoping to ellicit a good laugh to make her day, but after I dropped the letter at the post office, it dawned on me they may enforce the fine-print policies of forbidden topics, in spite that US Army bases have armed guards (M4 assault rifles) patrolling the perimeter and the flight line, where all combat aircraft are parked.

I have no idea, but I do know that they aren't supposed to get plans, drawings, or maps of the facility- even google earth printouts are considered contraband

After reading that letter you might actually be getting a knock on your door. They might take it seriously and your girl could get into trouble as well as you. They can suspend your privelges to write to her also. I sure hope that does not happen, but I am sure they will not find it funny and will do some type of investigation into the letter.

As far as the google earth, I have sent my guy in fire camp a few of the google earth maps of where I live in NY. He was able to have those. The CO's said they were fine they just would not allow him to have ones of the camp that he wanted.

I hope you added this is a joke or something because like the other poster here says don't be surprised it you have visitors. The F-uped Patriot Act could get you.
As for mail, perhaps they have nothing else to do (ha ha) other than read, take books, stamps and all...then give the books back later a misplaced item...lol.
Be grateful your not an ISLO. Inside looking out.
What is degrading in my opinion is the red or black stamps "prison generated mail" & "State Prison" There is no need for that. Those receiving mail know who it's coming from the postal employees, know but you do not need the whole block notified as to where your mail is coming from.
The ACLU should be looking at that, the over crowding and poor medical care.

I read someplace over the internet, the reason they started stamping "Prison Mail" on all outbound letters, was because of past incidents where inmates had sent threatening or intimidating letters to victims, witnesses, and DA attorneys who had prosecuted them. This is to give notice to mail recipient the letter may contain threatening or intimidating messages, and they should take caution, on whether to open it or not.

As for the conditions and medical care for inmates, if you Google/Yahoo "prison rape of female inmates," or "prison rape," you'll find some interesting sites that will show how the DOC had set themselves up to make physical and sexual abuse of inmates easy to cover up. I had posted under CCWF section, how the mailroom had stolen one of 2 books of stamps I've sent, then covered it up by destroying my letter, where I had asked her to write back and confirm she had received $16.80 in stamps. I ordered her books from Amazon-com, and the mailroom trashed my letters when I wrote to ask if she had received the books. The books had only materialized after I emailed the Ombudsperson, Sara Malone. She finally received the books 2 months  after it had arrived at CCWF's mailroom; a week after I notified Ms Malone of my suspicions. The books arrived on July 9, and she received them Sept 12 after she had already been transferred to VSPW. These incidents clearly implies the guards are stealing stamps and packages, and likely trading them for sexual favors with inmates.

I don't know if this is factual or not, but I read over the internet that a female inmate who submits a formal complaint of rape or sexual abuse from COs can be charged a crime, and more time added to her sentence. If this is true, then CDC had created policies to encourage a code of silence among women inmates, and encourage male COs to coerce or rape  women inmates as they please. Male COs should be required to undergo a polygraph test to ascertain they had not abused their authority. CO's who refuse to submit, or fail a polygraph should be restricted to working the observation tower, perimeter fence, or outside exercise yard, where there is no opportunity for them to be alone with a female inmate. With CCTV getting cheaper, I hope they've installed surveillance cameras in every discreet area where an inmate and CO can engage in illicit liason.
