I just got off the phone with Gist. 1st time I have been able to speak to the unit. I asked the following questions:

Is the electricity back on? No
Have they gave you an estimated time frame of when it may be back on? No
I am sure then there is no visitation this weekend, right? No
Is the mail up and running? Yes they received mail last night
So then they will be able to send mail out also? Yes
Do they have running water? Yes
Was there any flooding in the unit? No, but their was wind damage
Nothing to bad, though? I will put it this way, there was no injuries
I am sure they have not been able to go to commissary this week since there is no electricity, right? No
Did they get to go to commissary before Ike hit? Yes commissary was run

Short answers, but answers!
The phone was ringing the whole time we were talking & I felt rushed. I am sure they are busy, busy. Lots of people are wondering.
Someone will be getting mail soon out of Gist, Please let us know. I know my son will get a letter to me as soon as he can, he knows I will be worryed about him! As soon as I hear anything, i will also let you know.

That is awesome!!! I am so glad SOMEONE got answers!! Now its the wait for a letter.....
