Numberoneson: Stiles must have electric, then? Gist still has no electricity as of today. Has either of you received letters, yet? Correct me if i am wrong, but didn't I see a post within the last month, somewhere in here, that the Stiles building could withstand a cat 3, 4 or 5... can not remember which? And that Gist & Lablanc could only withstand a cat 3. I think maybe that is why, they evacuated Gist & Lablanc during Gustov. They may have received more wind damage from IKE then Stiles.

it's possible they may have electric now. checking the beaumont enterprise on where electricity is on in nederland, you can see where 77705 zip has electric in some parts. looks like electric is on at either side of 3514 where hwy. 69 intersects. i am going by information i obtained about commissarry being open again on the 23rd of this month. tried calling stiles an hour ago, and the phone rings and rings...with no answer. i'm sure the electric co. would make these units a top priority....:)..pam

I haven't received any mail since right before Gustav. Although he had to make commissary because that letter was his last envelope before Gustav, so I am not sure if he has anything to write with. I wish I would hear something, its one thing to have TDC say everyone is ok, its another to actually get a letter. I don't know if it makes me feel better or worse that no one else has gotten letters either... When their electricity is back on, I think that I will be right in line for a visit that weekend. :) How is everyone else doing?

Psikocat: I hear you, I will be at Gist the 1st weekend visitation is open I have wrote my son two letters since IKE hit. I told him; you can count on me being at Gist the 1st day visitation reopens!!!

I received a letter yesterday! I was posted marked the 18th.

i finally recieved my present he sent me a few days before hurricane .... it finally came its so pretty its a hankerchief he drew on and decorated himself made me cry

are'nt those nice! my son does the same too for me when he can get the materials. it helps them pass the time and stay away from any trouble that could be going on...:)..pam
