Well I got my letter today it's dated 9*15*09. My hubby wrote to let me know how it went down before and after the storm. His letter said that they moved all of the Trusty Camp into the old gym on Friday morning at 12am but I think he ment Saturday morning??... Well he said that they drew lines on the gym floor with numbers on the floor for sleep assignments. They were only allowed to bring hygeine. All of the essential trustees were kept in the old chow hall (he is a truck driver) so if incase they were needed they were quickly avaliable. He said that the cpt took care of them made sure they had coffee,tv, food, fans, etc...so he said that other than not being able to shower for two days it was alright. They are now back at camp with prison as usual. Just wanted to share I was so excited to get the news!!!

Glad to hear he is good and that the unit handled it as best they could!

Thanks for sharing...

I got a letter for my boyfriend in Ramsey, too. I don't think they really know how serious the storm was, at least he doesn't sound like it. He just said that there were a lot of high winds and rain. Their electricity did go out, and he didn't think it was going to be on until Wednesday, tho they did have generators for the essential areas. He was without a fan for a couple of days and said it was really hot in his cell, even at night. No lights, except 2 at the back of the run. He was more mad that I didn't get to visit him this past weekend and probably won't get to this weekend! Here I was so worried about him and freakin' out and he acts like it was no big deal! I guess that's a good thing.

Has anyone gotten a follow up letter from those units yet? Is mail processed there? Ingoing? Outcoming?

Mine was sent on Monday, postmarked the 16th, and I got it yesterday, so it looks like mail is being processed, just may be a little slow.
