Do you of you have any knowledge to a halfway house called The House of Acceptance in Mesa. My man was moved there from another halfway house dure curfue violation and we spoke for one minute on the phone and I haven't heard from him since which is odd.

I hate to break it to you, but if its the same place my boyfriend was at- its terriable there. There are two main houses and a guy named Gary runs them. That place is part of the reason my boyfriend went back to prison. He was there for 6 months and went above and beyond for this man. He even sold him a truck. My boyfriend did everything that he had to do in order to get out.(12 steps,meetings, house work) Well there was a problem between my boyfriend and his roommate and without thinking twice Gary told him to leave, he failed to mention that he was going to call his P.O. anyways, I hope your man is at a different house.If not just tell him to be on his toes. Gary is a jerk who only is in this for the money. Sorry! Its hard I know, but there is one good thing- after a month or so he can leave for 8 or 12 hours a day to work. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply I had the very same feeling myself. My man is at the one in 143 S. Center street and they recently accused him for being both drunk and high at the same time and while we talked some days ago he was trully outta it and angry and I fear that he will be back behind bars in the ironhouse as well and I feel there is racism at the place too,he is a lakota while I am gypsy/lakota and they have not been kind to me either when I called to find out if he was there.first they declined but I was stubborn. I have recently gotten contacts through a indian sister who is a shrink in the system and she told me to find the very best halfway house there is in AZ so if there is of any help to you when your boyfriend gets out again I would be happy to help you.

I have been trying to find this for three days:) I'm new to this. I found the address that my man was at its 266 E. 2nd ave. That place is a joke! There were a lot of racial issues that we had to deal with too, mostly from gary himself. My man gets out in 30 days!! Im so happy!!! We are getting married as soon as he gets out!! Then he has to do 4 months of house arrest- then we can move out and move on. I hope your man does not end up in jail again, Tell him to keep his head up and to play by their rules for now.Because it doesnt matter who is right or wrong in these places they always seem to win. I know of a good place for you to look into its called concepts for change, my man was there for a while and he says that that place is more laid back and if he could choose then he would go back there. Wopila tanka for your kind reply,my man has ran away from the house and it happend thursday. I have gotten no news,no nothing and no one seems to know anything about his whereabouts. This Gary person,well he is rude and sounds like a redneck to me. I dont even know if there is a warrant for my mans arrest. Well I am happy for the both of you and you already know how hard it is with freaking nazi like camps and attitudes towards ex-inmates,Indians and other origin. If there is anything I can do to assist you in any matter please let me know.
