As you all know if you read my posts I have filed divorce, Tough decison but finally did it.
I wanted to ask if you all know if I can go to victims assistance and get some kind of help relocating,,, I know that when he gets out he will come after me,,, why, cuz i left him, he swore that if i ever did he would find me and gut me. sounds harsh but i have been under his hand for too long to think this is just an empty threat.
will they help me even if he is incarerated? Or am i stuck dealing with this alone?

Don't know about Texas; in NY you can get some funds from Victim's Assistance.

thanks I dont want funds, I just want them to help me relocate so that i can start over without having to look over my shoulder. Last night i woke up out of a dead sleep cuz i saw him at my door holding a box, well i realized i was dreaming but that was enough to put me on edge....
He took pictures of my id and sscard once and said that if i ever tried to get away he would find me,, so i know he is serious. Now that he will be served his divorce pepares he will be furious... gotta get out of texas before he gets home.

I have no clue about what help you can get I just wanted to say that I think you are extremely brave and I wish you the best of luck in your new life. I hope you get all the assistance you need, maybe you can find out how to get it on the net?. Or a least find some phone numbers to help you get the info you need. I'll be praying for you.

If you are truly scared, if you truly want out, there are many who will help you without there ever being a trace again.

You can actually go through the SS office and have your SS number changed. I don't know if in your state victim assistance can help you relocate or not. I know in Minnesota they have an address confidentiality program set up through the secretary of state - so I was able to move and not have to give anyone (not even the court or the police) my actual physical address.
