Hello all

Anyone know how the non contact visits are at this unit? My BF is
Possibly being transferred here.
Is it the thick glass window? Through phones? How was the check in process?

Thank you

Guess not too many folks on here with loved ones at this unit…Still waiting for a confirmation as he’s stuck in transit now, looks like the wait will be even longer with the delay due to the weather so hopefully news will come soon.:(

Okay my loved one was there for just over a year. The glass is not real thick.Just like the other units i have been to.They check your car as you drive up.And yes you talk through a phone.Checkout the visitation part of the texas forum for other rules and details about visitation. Here is the link. http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=592

my husband is in telford, they have the contact and noncontact all together in one big room, i've been twice and i've never had any problems with check in or the guards, they are actually really polite and for the most part laid back, i hope that helps, oh yeah they do have a hospitality house near the telford just in case you need to stay somewhere.

my Son Has Been There For A While, Did You Get The Info You Needed?? His Wife Said The Visits Are Ok, Take Plenty Of Quarters, If U Can Go See Him, Write Me If You Need More Info, Take Care And Hang In There Ana

I been going there for a while. Yes, they check the cars when you get there and when you leave. At first they did not pat search you. Now they do. Be carefull and make sure you get all your things out of the basket that you have to put your things in, cause when you come out of the medal detector they pat you down. I believe I left my bracelet in there. Cause I was use to just getting my things and checking in. But after the pat down. You walk up to a window and they will get all your info there. And then you go down the walk. And stop at the desk. They call for your loved one there. And then you go in. And yes you visit through the basic glass and talk on the phone. It is better than no visit. Cause I would much rather have my hubby home and in my arms. But it is not that bad there.
