I should mention that even though one of the pictures above shows a grid-locked traffic jam, that was probably the worst area, and I don't believe it lasted that long.

I drove into Houston last night via I-290 and it was pretty thick BUT it was flowing quite quickly.. They did a great job this time, and probably more people stayed around thinking it was going to be a nightmare.. I drove back to my place about 90 (miles out of Houston) earlier today and there was almost no traffic at all.

I guess we'll be putting the backup generators to the test in our data center if the power goes out in Houston. They are saying that 5.2 million residences are now without power along the Gulf Coast...

Eye Wall is 40 miles and about an hour and a half from coming on shore.
