I know it is really to early to tell but.......... Ike at this time is streaming for the Texas coast!!! We have been very lucky for many years..... Something tells me we are about to get unlucky!!!

Hey M ~ I was just wondering about ya'll and Ike this afternoon! You're much closer than I am!!! Weather report just now is still iffy but seeming that it may veer closer to Galveston area.

Like you I don't know if we can dodge another one. We've dodged it for some time now and our number just might be on this one!! As much as I dread the thought - I don't wish it on anyone else either!

As to if we'll leave - I doubt it. I'd love to escape to the country but know we'd be worried about what's happening at the house. How about you?

Prayers for those in Ike's path! Wherever that may be.

Well so far they are only evacuating the coast line and a little inwards, but he is getting stronger and doesn't look like nothing is going to slow him down. If we get a mandatory evacuation then yes we will move up north. got our things packed just in case.

From what they are saying they aren't worried to much about flooding where i am because the storm is moving fast enough to just pass through...

I am so glad that my son is OUTTA THERE!

We're getting some evacuees here in Austin..but they're still telling us here we're going to get major wind and tornados along with the rain. Who knows..they postponed the UT game vs Arkansas, but my son's youth football game is still scheduled for Saturday afternoon...eye rolls!

We got power last night and i got to say its great to be back online. lol its great to be able to turn on lights. first thing my daughter did was run to her computer and got online and when she heard the nick jr page come up she was like mom we are in business. lol got to love 5 yr olds
