hi all. would anyone know what its like inside the michigan prisons, as far as tv/tg's and other queeens... what is it like for them? also, do u think most guys in prison use these people for sex?

I am going to answer with some information but I guess I am wondering if you know somone that is TG or is it simply out of interest?

There are different 'types' of gay men in prison and then there are some transgendered. Please don't however confuse transgendered wtih those men that may dress like women and use makeup as they are two different things... Transgendered individuals are not gay.

Do they 'use' these people for sex?

I think that there is a certain amount of 'use' that goes on with those that are overtly gay. I think also that in most cases some of these men may even invite this attention. I don't think that there is a great deal of 'forced' sex or rape that is not reported... these are generalities and I am only touching the surface of this subject.

I can really only tell you what my Partner and I have discussed and what I do know is that he has been down for over 7 years now and has never been 'used' for sex. He can stand up for himself and does. Yes - he gets the occasional comment - but he picks his battles, and is not afraid to defend himself if he needs to. He is NOT a punk - that is for sure.

How are they treated? That is a very involved question and depends on the state and even the facility - but more so their own personal image and what they 'put out there' to everyone else to see. The guys that dress and wear the makeup - the TV's - IMO, they bring on what ever they get by dressing the way that they do - dressing and acting that way is a choice they make...
