Hello to everyone,
I just spoke to my boyfriend who is presently in Brooklyn NY, awaiting transfer to Lewisburg, PA for a few days (Who knows why??), before finally getting bused up to Raybrook, NY, which is where he is to serve his sentence. Is it true that BOP or that the US Marshalls will stop doing transfers of inmates from December 15 until January 15? Thanks for reading this!

I am in Arizona and my husband is also hearing rumors of being transfered out of state and also there is a lot of talk about private prisons here, does anyone know anything about Arizona?
Thanks Anne

They don't stop the transfers, but they slow them down a whole lot. Odds are, if he is not at his designated institution by 12/22, then he probably wont get there until mid January.

Very few trips/transfers take place from 12/22, through 1/5/04.

My man is in the feds and he said that the feds do basically stop activity in December. Transfers, court , sentencings and so on.
