I just received a pending felony charge. Is there any restriction as to where I cannot make a visit there? I want to go see sister for before christmas but dont want to cause her any issues. MIght be said that I live in Minnesota, but I am sure they can check with computers. Also if I am allowed to visit what can I bring for her( Can I bring her anything ie: cigs, money etc.. I have never had the chance to visit as it it is a 20 hour drive.)

Are you already on your sister's visiting list? If not it might be a problem getting approved. I was at Alderson for 16 months and they have a very nice visitation room. You cannot bring her anything. You can bring in cigarettes for the two of you to share on you visit, and lots of change for the vending machines that is filled with sandwiches, pizza, cnady chips, pop, etc. Make sure you are approved before you make the trip.
