Welcome to PTO also and someone should be along who can give you info you want or need pretty soon. WinyanTsumanitu 12-13-2003, 06:56 AM It is not to fright but it is a rough unit for people who are often seen as trouble makers and when my man did time there for a while he taped the madness and sent it out to me.........needless to say more ChiArz 12-15-2003, 07:58 PM My son has been there for 6 months. Yes it is not a nice place to say the least. I was worried for his safety but they seem to be very safe there. My son has learned it is best to keep to yourself and trust no one. Keep busy reading, writing and exercising. I totally believe God is guiding him and protecting him. When you are able to talk to your loved one just listen and encourage him to be strong. I remember how hard it was when he first arrived their and we could have no communication. BE STRONG AND GOD BLESS. Here4you4ever 12-15-2003, 08:21 PM Hello ChiArz. I am so sorry to hear that your son is there. I pulled up your profile and see that he is in for 47 years. My God, my prayers are with you. I cannot imagine not being able to hug my son again. I tried to send you a private message, but it is not working right now. I keep telling him to stay strong like you said, but my gosh it is so hard. I cannot visit him right now, I cannot talk to him on the phone, the mail is slow. I worry so much about his mental health. How can you be in isolation 24 hours a day, and never have any sunshine or fresh air - it seems so cruel. I guess the good thing is for him, it is only temporary, but I can't sleep at night worrying about him. He writes all the time that he is so cold. I will add your son to my prayers at night. Thank you for writing me back. ChiArz 12-15-2003, 10:45 PM Yes, my son has also complained about it being cold. He has written a kite (writing an official note to the authorities about it). Sometimes they listen sometimes not. If he keeps his mind busy he will be alright. I too worried and continue to worry but I think as times goes by I'm getting better at it. I to will add your son to my prayers. It so heartwarming to talk to someone in the same situation. |
