Does anyone know whether there will be evacuations of the prison facilities in these areas of Arkansas because of Gustav? On the website for Little Rock, I saw flood watches posted for counties in those areas due to concerns about rain as Gustav makes landfall and travels in that area. I was just curious as to whether the inmates in those counties and areas would be moved to other facilities until the storm deteriorates. Does anyone know? My fiance is in Malvern, AR and there is a watch box for that county as well as others.

Pretty doubtful. I'm in Memphis and not very far from Malvern. Once hurricane storms make their way this far north to Arkansas, Tennessee, and northern Mississippi and Alabama, they've pretty much lost most of their "big power".
We have bigger flooding and tornado problems with storms when there's NOT a Gulf Coast hurricane going on or causing them, and there are usually not prison evacuations, at least not with the major facilities.
I really can't think of an occasion that any of the Arkansas or Tennessee prisons have been evacuated in the last 20 years. One of Tennessee's largest prisons is actually very close to a major flood plain, but they built all those facilities to withstand most stuff.
As my guy in Alabama and I have often joked, with the exception of Easterling in south Alabama (which looks like it was thrown together with leftover pieces of cheap trailers almost, as do a few private prisons I won't mention LOL), most prisons in the South are probably about the safest place you could be in the event of a natural disaster like a hurricane or a tornado.
Now, a Category 3-4 hurricane like Gustav, that's another story - but like I said, by the time that weather moves this far north to Arkansas and Tennessee, they've lost power and are just bad storms, really.

I was just curious because I know if they have to move him from the TVC in Malvern to someplace else, I'll be the last to know, and since he'll be calling me tomorrow night, I was going to let him know whether to be alert for being moved. He'll probably rest a little easier knowing he gets to stay put, but I'm sure he'd rest a lot easier if he were in his own bed in his own house. :)
