Hi PTO friends,
OK, I work at a men's max unit farther from all this storm deal.
TDCJ is moving anyone they even THINK will be dangerious hurt by this storm coming in. Moving them every where, basically- -away from danger!
Now, the units that are receiving these guys, most are max units, most.
So, we have these low grade, (some are g-4, 5's though) but most low grade scale inmates walking into a max unit- -it is scarying the s--t out of these guys- -which is GOOD- -if they see what the heck they MIGHT end up at NOW- -maybe, just maybe, they will think twice about things and it sure as heck can't hurt them to be "exposed" to this- -OK?
One, they are safe, two, this is a wake up call, mentally on these guys.
Three, YOU need to relax, but also think, after the atorm is over- -IF- -their old unit got hit bad, they will stay where they are until it is repaird or liveable- -just remember that.
TDCJ will NOT send them back with a damaged unit that is a danger to them- -so, please do not expect them to just "up and go back" after the storm- -OK?
They are ok, MUCH safer in a building that has just about two- three feet solid cement walls, than one thin wall - -got that?
So, with this note, maybe, depending on how this storm rides out- -there MIGHT not be visitation next week. I said MIGHT!
Instead of calling and going nuts with not getting a phone call returned, try looking up on the TDCJ website- -before you waste time and money on gas to drive and find out there isn't visitation.
TDC web site is the best way to check.
Just trying to help and I pray we ALL will be safe with this storm.
OH, and before one trips out on their love one being in a max units - -these low grade guys are NOT around the other inmates that are there. They are feed seperately, showered seperate, the whole bit- -so just settle down on that part. They ARE OK. Not over joyed, but ok, that's all that counts! Yes, they can write you- -if they took paper and stamps with them. Most I saw, did NOT have it with them. But I did not see every single one coming in- -to MY unit. I was told, other units were in a hurry, and the inmates flat didn't have time to get anything.
Be safe.
