Does anyone have an suggestions on how to obtain the court minutes, transcripts and Abstract of Judgement? I have sent written requests to the courthouse, by fax and regular mail. I have even emailed his attorney and I have not received a response from anyone. The letters were sent to the courthouse a month ago. His attorney was a PD, who apparently does not care...once the case is done. Any help would be appreciated. I am getting very :( and :angry:!

Have you tried going in person to the court??? That's what I did. They charged me $0.50 a page. Good luck sweetie! = )

You can either go directly to the courthouse or you can access his case on the superior court website. Just type in the name of the court (example: San Bernardino County Superior Court) and click the "case information" and the rest is easy. He may also have a copy of his transcripts with him, so maybe he can mail them to you to so you can copy them. I hope this information helps you and good luck.

I too need a copy of my hubbys minutes and the lady told me to send in a letter with the case number and what info. I am requesting. I also need to send a self addressed stamped envelope so they can mail them to me. I need to include a blank check and in the memo field put "not to exceed $XX amount" as it costs .50 a page. So if I want 20 pages, I type, not to exceed $10.00. This is for Placer county court, so yours may be different. I would try calling the courts again and ask specifically how to get the copies. Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone! I think I'll try the online option first and see how far I get. I dont want to go to the courthouse because it is on Catalina Island and it would be an all day trip, not to mention the $ for the boat ride over and back....plus, I dont ever want to step foot on Catalina again! :blah:

If it's for an appeal, ask the appellate attorney, if it is for CDCR, and you are trying to prove the facts of an old case for classification purposes, the 'primary' document that they want is a probation report if that is available.

You don't have to go to Catalina to get the court papers. All you need to do is go to there nearest Los Angeles county court house. (I think Catalina is Los Angeles county):p
