Well, as some of you know I have been trying to help out a friend at Polunsky on DR get his GED. I have come to learn some interesting news that might interest some here.
It was thought at first that DR inmates do not have access to the Windham school. That is not entirely true. DR inmates cannot attend classes and several years ago (cannot remember the date) in cell tutoring was banned. However, if an inmate wishes to take the GED tests, they can put in a request to the Warden to have permision to take the tests when they are scheduled.
Now the key words... "ask the warden for permission". However, that path will be crosses when it gets there. I am sending him books on GED to study, plus printing off information from GED site and sample tests. pray for him when the time comes to "ask the warden for permission".
