What did you want to be when you grew up?

In 3rd grade, I wanted to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader! LOL! Later on, in High School, a gourmet chef.

Gosh, it's changed so much over the years!

A long time ago, I wanted to be a writer and an artist.... then a teacher... then an Olympic swimmer... then an oncologist... then a rock star... then a musician... then a psychiatrist... then an actress... then a counselor for eating disordered people... then a substance abuse counselor... then a nutritionist... then a lawyer... a nurse practitioner...

There's more, but I will stop there. :rolleyes:

UH, I've contemplated just about every career out there! :p

Ideal would be winning the Lottery. :D

Oh Red that is sooo funny, because we are both from Wisconsin *supposed to HATE the Cowboys*, yet we both wanted to be a Cowboys cheerleader!! I even got a megaphone and pon poms for Christmas one year! Since then, I have wanted to be a nurse. I went to college for nursing but did not graduate, but I have managed to stay somewhat in the medical field since then!! :D

i wanted to be a doctor, then a nurse, then a coroner...(why i dont know lol), then an emt, then a teacher, doctor, teacher, drug & alcohol counselor, teacher, nothing, juvenile hall counselor, teacher, and now im back at nothing. lol :) i think ill be a house wife. :yes:

I always wanted to be a nurse, for as far back as I can remember. Am I a nurse? No. Sort of sad I think. I did stay in the medical field though and am pretty happy with my job, so I guess it isn't that bad!

A drag racer! I wanted a pink 69 Nova, called "Daddy's Girl".

My dad has raced since I was 4 years old.
Then, in 8th grade, I did a report about Special Education.
So, I wanted to be a Sp. Ed. Teacher!

Now, I am a private duty nurse.

a vet...but, when i was about 16 i asked my dad if he would send me to vet school...he said, "No. There aren't women vets." This was back in the 60s...the "olden days"...well, i researched what he said about women vets and had a debate with him over it...he still wouldn't send me. So, i became a beatnick first and then a hippie!!! My oldest daughter is now in vet school...i love it! neener...neener, dad!

In grade school I wanted to be a teacher, in high school a commerical artist. I'm now a developmental aide.

At first I wanted to become a RockStar!!! Then I wanted to become a secretary...later that changed to a brain surgen.

When I was little I wanted to raise horses. But I grew up and became a truck driver. Then I owned a few trucks. Got tired and lazy and became a drug dealer then a convicted felon. So now I do home preservation for repo companies and raise horses.

IF AND WHEN I grow up I wanna be a ROCKSTAR!!!!!

A lawyer, since I was like 10 or something...still hoping to get there.

In first grade it was a nurse... then a police officer! :) Then in 6th grade, an orthodontist after I found out mine drove a Porsche! Then in 10th grade a marine biologist (cause I loved the beach). Then in 11th grade I got into computer programming and now I'm a web developer... :)

My dream career? A movie star of course!! :)

When I was about 9 I wanted to be a doctor, because they make a lot of money. At about 13 I wanted to be a parapsychologist, because I like the paranormal. At about 15 I wanted to be a lawyer, because I like to argue. At 18 I decided to go into Forensics and that's what I'm going to school for now. Presently I work in Manufacturing :yuck: and Child Care.

OMG there were thousands of professions I dreamed of...writer, teacher, nurse (I am), doctor (I hate math), actress, air hostess (I'm afraid of flying), pianist, librarian (I love books)...etc. Well,maybe not thousands but many anyway!

From about age 5 to 10 I wanted to be the lady at the circus who stands on the back of a white horse wearing a pink tutu. It looked fun and exciting!

A geologist...then a helicopter pilot...then a doctor...

I always wanted to run away and join the circus. Looks like I made it.

Teacher or Lawyer then back to Teacher when I had my first child.

A forest ranger, then in high school a forensic pathologist and an agent in the FBI behavioral science unit. Now? I'm a nail tech!

What a change of careers, huh? Hpopefully i'm fully grown now, and wont change my mind again!! :)

I wanted to be a Lawyer or a Psychiatrist. I tried counseling for a while but it was "too crazy"! :D Seriously though it was just too stressful...I burned out so fast. Now I working on becoming a college professor.

Archaeologist, but only because my cousin Glenn wanted to be one, and I liked everything he liked (much to his dismay).

During high school: art and interior design, and a mother.
Ended up: a mother, and was in sales...( insurance) or customer service...secretary...admin assistant... sales...weight loss counselor...sales..

When I was little, I wanted to grow up and be a nun or President of the United States. I decided if I was president I would give everyone a free house, a small little one but a free one! This is something that has stuck with me for a very long time, I gues it must have meant a lot to me at that time.

I wanted to be an astronaut, vet, work in politics (which I did), and now I want to be a stay at home mommy, so my man better get home quickly! :)

When I was 7 and in Brownies I made a poster of what I wanted to be...a stewardess....geez, they dont even call them that anymore do they?

I wanted to be a DJ when I was young (just collect music now), then at school I wanted to be a mad scientist that would discover cures for diseases . I do neither of these. Fell into IT, after 7 years ran out of it and now work as an administrator. Prefer unpaid, voluntary work to paid work any day! Now, I have done some interesting voluntary work - the paid work just means I get to do the unpaid.... M.

I wanted to be a house wife..It hasn't happened yet..Also a interior designer and drug and alchol counclor which I'm ging to collge for now.

When I was little I wanted to be a veteranarian! That lasted till I was a wee bit older and discovered Im allergic to most anything with fur!!!!! I became a nurse instead lol!
