Hello-
My husband is in jail for a measure 11 crime. He was sentenced for 90 months with a 45 months Second Look. Do any of you guy know anything about a Second Look? My husband has served 10 months is up for the hearing and know one seems to know how they work or what needs to be done.
Thanks
Kristin

Well, it sounds like they'll take a second look at the halfway point to see what his disciplinary record is, what he's done to better himself while in, etc. Maybe at that time, they have the option of letting him out. I'm not familiar with the second look thing, so I'm just guessing.

A second look hearing is done in Circuit Court in the county in which he was sentenced. He should write the Presiding Judge of the Circuit Court in that county and ask him/her to appoint him a lawyer to represent him. The DOC will prepare a report for the second look hearing, which he should get a copy of. The lawyer can help gather additional documents and information for the hearing. Hope this helps!! Zelda
