My boyfriend was just sent to the brig on Miramar on Thursday Oct 16th. I have questions like you did when you posted. Have you learned anything about how things work? I heard from him on the first two days and havent heard anything since then. Do you know the process for phone calls?

i think there is information around here about miramar if you look through the posts.

i found this from yahoo
now i am just guessing, but maybe he is in isolation for reception and once he is out after a few days, he will be allowed to make calls again.
one way or the other he will be allowed to give you a call here in a couple of days. it will be collect at first. there may be a cheaper way to call after he gets settled in, it depends on the facility. he will probably know that soon as well.
sorry, i dont know much about that place. take a look at that link its got a good bit of info.

My husband was just recently transferred to Miramar, too. I seem to be hitting a lot of roadblocks trying to find out much of anything about it. He was able to call me with his one call (5 minutes), then I haven't heard from him since. It's been almost 2 weeks. He can call his parents, but for some reason calls won't go through to me. Supposedly they are looking into it, but it is so aggravating. I am new to this forum too. The support here has been great.
