Ok my Fed Family. We used to have a Fed Chat...then it stopped, then we had it again and then it stopped again. Maybe 3rd time is the charm???? I'd like to start up a weekly chat. Mostly just a chance for Fed members to get together and talk in real time but we will also have Topic Nights where we focus on one topic relating to the BOP.

I hope everyone is interested and we can get a good thing going. I have figured out how to start up a Chat room in chat. So now all we have to do is pick a day of the week and the time and it's all good to go. Please post when is good for you, majority will rule!!!

Ok so only one person had a day preference. I'm thinking Tuesday will be a good day for chat. That gives peeps time to unwind from weekend visits but still in time to share the fresh details. LOL.

Sigh...you are correct, you have to have at least 25 post AND been a member for AT LEAST 2 weeks before you can access chat or post links. Sorry. But you can join us as soon as you meet the requirements...this is going to be a weekly event!!! :thumbsup:

Boy, I'm slow! I missed all of this until tonight. But (sigh) I too have to wait a while until I qualify. Hope it was a good first chat!

I remember my angst when i first joined PTO and didn't have enough posts to join the chat room, it felt awful, but usually, once i could, there were never any people there. So thanks CSMC for setting this up for us, and coordinating in every way posible, I look forward to chatting with everyone weekly now. and usually, evenings are good for me. some evenings (tues. i cant get on til after 930, but hopefully i'll find people there still), and then, some weekends and mornings are bad, but i'll play it by ear. Right now is the right time, and I am sooo excited for the 2nd chat!

you will need to have Java, you might need to update it if you already have it. If you don't have it you need to down load it and the link the the java site is in the link I just posted above. I was also told that you can't get into chat if you are using AOL. You need to be using Internet Explorer or some other internet service...but it doesn't work with AOL.

I had to update Java to get in last week. It was the first time in almost 2 years of being on PTO, that I had gone into the chat room. LOL.

Csmcgrl23 -Do you think for the out of Country PTO members, a week-end time would be good for them also? Some are 7 hrs ahead like Germany for instance. Australia 12 hrs? Also would give members who work nights 3-12 a chance to drop in to chat in the day.

LOL...please stop! LOL. Really, I didn't think I meant that much...the world still spins without me but I'm flattered. I will be there tonight ladies. I was able to come home last night and cut and blow dry someone's hair and my back didn't fall off. So hopefully I'll be straight for tonight.

thanks. im still recovering and getting a little bit pissy about not able to eat solid food. my surgery went great, took only 30 minutes and 5 seconds to knock me out with the IV sedation. :) I'm still swollen but no bruises at all. I was given a higher dosage of vicodin for pain and all it did was just knock me out for like 24 hours! lol.

I have a question, my son just called and he said something about points. you start out with points then it goes lower, you get moved to a medium to low, then to camp. how do you find out what your points start out at. He is in beaumont low right now.

He finds out from his unit team what his security designation points are.
