:( I called the chaplain's office to find out the procedure to get my husbands ring to him. He wasn't in but his secretary checked on it for me and was told by the lieutenant in my husbands unit that if he didn't come in with the ring he can't have it. I thought I had read somewhere that the chaplain could give his ring to him. Any advice?

It is not an MDOC policy. I would follow up with a brief request to the Assistant Warden asking the policy at the facility.

I called an spoke to the assistant warden as you suggested. She told me that there's no way to get his ring to him.
