I went to visit my honey Sunday, and we was told that an inmate 40 years old and 10 days til E.O.S. died off heat stroke. does anyone know if this happened. a guard confirmed to me on the way out of visiting. so it isnt a rumor. just a very sad fact.....

Oh God, that is SO sad and soooooooo negligent, too!! I hope his family shuts that place down. They should be allowed to rest and drink water every 15 minutes when they're out in this heat. I have a friend there and I stay worried about him. Thanks for sharing!!

I agree...there are alot of things that could be better in the Alabama Prison system. No doubt.
They say that the gentleman was a bit older than the average inmate at Bibb and had not really over-exherted himself. I haven't heard anything more on that.
I hear that there are other states that have play areas for the children to actually play with thier fathers.

Ok...I will send you a PM because I know they know each other! I visit next Sunday. So does Lisharon. We usually sit close to each other. It is great having PTO friends. I have a friend here in Mobile whose husband is in the crime bill dorm as well...she rode up to Bibb with me on Thursday and married her sweetheart that day too. She visits the same Sunday you do. I have been doing my best to get her on this website. She is so sweet. The PTO family would love her and her upbeat spiritual insight! I pray you had a good visit!
