Well, there's good news to report today. The guard at the visitor's gate alerted us that another person was there to pick up our friend. Turns out that her BF was able to fly out and meet her. WHAT A RELIEF! LOL. So, we quietly excused ourselves and will take the rest of today to relax.

Therefore, it seems this chapter of my life is complete. I hope to pop back here from time to time to check in on all of you. Feel free to drop me a PM or email to say HI.

Bert - I'm glad your friend is out of CIW, I wish her luck and isn't the "Tower" system kind of stupid! I laughed the first time I seen it done and said to myself " there has to be a better way", I guess thats the modern CDCR for you. The best to all. BigBurtChino:cool:

LOL. Another unusual thing happened while chatting under the canopy just outside the gate below the tower. I asked a question to my friend and a voice from the tower answered. What immediately struck me was that voices carry a mile there -- the tower can hear everything you say even if you talk in a normal voice, not loud at all.

As a suggestion to visitors, don't say anything of a private nature anywhere near the tower/gate. They have good ears. LOL.

That is funny. Do you thing they have some kind of listening device? They have some good hearing.

I don't think I know they do, the tower can hear any conversation near the fence! "they are wired for sound".

I want to get sent to CIW after I go through receiving at CCWF should I request Walden Program? Or is there a better way to get there? I turn myself in Sept 17 for about 14mos is what I will do! But I have family in LA and I have Medical issues also I would like to eventually get into a 2 woman cell if possible??

Hi JC..... I think you can put in an inmate request or a 602....on the other thread I told you about the girls I sponsor, one of them (now at CCWF) just came from CIW. She said it smelled so bad some days because of the dairies that are around the prison it made her sick. I am about 45 minutes from CIW, know the area well...they are building houses around the prison....the cows are going away BUT it will take a long time to get rid of the smell.

Seriously we should combine the threads we will have a bigger chat group! :thumbsup:
