Well thats a bummer!! At least now I know I'm not going crazy!!! :D Couldn't figure out where the August chat went!!! LOL!! Evidently neither does Fed-Ex!! LOL!!
I went to visit today, as well as yesterday. Lots of people both days!! More than the last two Sunday's. Had a good visit both days!!

My hubby called tonight and said he heard that they were doubling up tables on 3C visiting yard now. Can anyone confirm this? And if it happened, how was it? Any terminations?

I can not confirm 3C, but what I can tell you is that the last two days I was there, there were a LOT of people, most had to be for Level 3, since Level 1 visiting never really got totally full. So I can only guess that most of the people were for level 3.

It means they are putting two couples at one table, if they do this i'd rather have my visits terminated. I do not want to share my time with my man with another couple.

They do this at KVSP to help extend visits, which were on average 90 minutes long no matter what time you got there. It really is not a big deal because one couple just turns their chairs away from the table and you don't even notice the other couple.

Also, most of us will find someone else we would prefer sharing with and then the guys just go up to the podium and say so when the room starts to get to capacity and then staff just let's us move on our own.

Doing this has extended visits in most of the rooms to at least double the time if not more. Often it means no terminations at all. :thumbsup:

LOL!! your to funny Taz!! :D That would kind of suck, I like visiting at COR 1. Even though I made a few friends that I could have car pooled with at CCC, I still enjoy the visits as well as the drive to COR 1.

Years ago when my husband was at Solano, they would double up, it wasn't to bad. You just turn away from the other couple, plus with all the noise from everyone visiting, you really didn't hear the other couple.

Junior, I remember that. If I am not mistaken other prisons in California are doing this. Maybe someone will come along and let us know.

that is a trip cause with my bro they still do that and he is in pelican bay so every time my mom wants to visit she has to call to see who will have visit that week omg its so much drama just to be with our love ones

Just watch, you're going to have to double up with me & my husband. :ha: We argue all the time (although we're not rude or mean to each other - we just disagree a lot).

I understand what you're saying about not wanting to share tables, and that's cool. For me, I have to drive such a long distance, and don't get to visit long enough that I'd rather sit with people than to be terminated. We used to do that when he was at Calipatria, and it wasn't too bad. We usually found someone that he knew, and would double up with them.

I will take all of the time I can get with my husband. I would just sit with another couple that we knew. The Warden was supposed to sign the papers, but there has been a delay. Then the CO's in the visiting room says we can't do it because of room capacity. Well does it really matter? Have the Fire Marshall take a walk through the prisons................they would be citing EVERY facility! No arguments from me.

as far as the doubling up ill do it because i come from sac so its hella far but i do know that if you do take yours kids with you they will not double you up.

oh girl get ready!!!! :angry:i waited for 2 and a half hours to get in and they didnt even know how to terminate people. :banghead:they were asking for volunteers. seriously whos going to volunteer. i didnt get doubled up because i was one of the last people to get in. but it didnt look that bad. i would rather get doubled up and be there longer than have to leave early. but seriously sunday was off the hook. people were getting away with sooooo much it was insane to see!! i recommend getting there early. thats what im going to try and do this weekend. i usually go every other weekend but damn i want all those kisses again. i even got a foot massage. that really dosent compare to the other things that were going down but we dont get down like that. good luck

there was the same people processing but the staff inside was different.
i think one of the normal people is supposed to be back this next weekend but i know the main lady is out for a couple more weeks. they just had no idea of what they were doing at all. it was annoying and frustrating.

I visited this past Sunday in A visiting. The guards were all new. People were kissing and hugging all over the place. The outside yard, the door was closed and the guards would wonder over to the window and peek out every once in awhile, but the people that were all hugged up on eachother they didn't care about! Usually "you have to keep moving!" It was great! I hope it is like that again this Sunday! I loved all the kissing....and I could tell he did too...poor guy!!:D

ROBBIEINMYHEART: I have heard something of changes of CO's in the visiting rooms. I know when I use to visit in A, it was more strict; but wow, sounds like you all had a good time. That's cool.

I would like to take the time to thank everyone on this site for all the help I have gotten. I may not comment much, but I read many of these posts and they are very helpful. I only wish I had found this site years ago, my son has been to prison 4 times, luckily not long terms. I had so many questions and no where to get the answers. Many times I have lost hope over those years, but I come here and I see ladies who's men have very long terms and they seem to still have a positive outlook. Sharing experiences and tips on how to cope with the system have been the most helpful for me.

Just curious ladies... How did the visits go this weekend? Were they just as loose as last weekend? Did anyone visit on B yard?!? Was it just as busy and crazy as the rest of the yards?

I was not going to go down an visit anymore because it is a long way and my boyfriend will be home next month but all this talk about kisses and foot rubs makes me want to go down there.

visits were great this weekend. i went to c yard and they weren't as laid back as last weekend but i didnt get cut and got to be there all day. it was wonderful. we had a really great visit. i love my babe so much. hope everyone has a great week!!!

Hello girls!! My friend has just been transferred from ASU to B yard:beer::yay:yeaayy. I called and they said he was assigned a counselor and out of orientation , that was pretty quick not to mention his letter said he got transferred to main line on the 13th of this month. So anywhoo does that mean he can get visits?? how is B yard visits?? and do u take dollars, quarters??:confused: and what else......:rolleyes: uhmm..... and how do u know if they have visits if they dont update the 1-800# :mad: i gues thats all the questions for now... thanks!!! also how do u know if they get friday visits.... ok that was the last one :o thanks!!!

Sure sounds like he can have visits! Yeah! B Yard visits are good. Weekends tend to get crowded, but Friday's are best. I think the visiting will calm down a bit after summer. I know alot of folks fly into town to visit, people are off of work, etc.. so I think it tends to get more crowded around summer break.

There is a change machine there, that will change UP TO a $20 bill. You can take in quarters & dollar coins. I prefer the dollar coins myself. You can wear backless sandals, flip flops. One ring set, one earring set, necklace, etc. No other body piercings, no toe rings. The 800 # has been better than the past. I always check it on Thurs night & Friday morning. And sometimes call directly to COR to make sure visits are happening. Friday visits are for everyone that are allowed contact visits. (as far as I know of, I've never heard different)

Thanks juniorsqueen! I have been visiting him in ASU for like 10 months already so I kinda know the dress code. I was just wondering about the money, does the change machine there give u dollar quarters? So no one takes $1 bills? Ok so what does it mean when it says disciplinary free inmates only for the fridays? Sounds good I haven't had a contact visit with him so I'm soo excited I'm going for labor day weekend to see him! Ok ladies (and gents) just a prewarning......... It had been 4 weeks since I had visited my baby, and well, alot has changed. All I am gonna say is, B and C visiting is beyond strict, over the top! Nothing like I have ever seen before in all my years. The dudes are cool. Enough said. Just be careful cause you can EASILY get terminated without a warning for any itty bitty slight "wrong" move. For the smallest little things that in my opinion are not wrong. I was wow'd yesterday at reactions, words, etc...... Soooo BE ON YOU BEST BEHAVIOR!!!

Best to not try and get over, and just follow the rules, before they make them even more strict. :(

I wasn't trying to be accusing, but a few posts were saying they were "taking advantage" of situations of CO's being unaware. That concerns me for all that follow the rules, that's all I was trying to say. The CO's all catch crap when those tapes are reviewed, and get yelled at for things they missed going on...and guess what? Crap rolls downhill, so guess who gets it next? Us, and our loved ones. When I went to visit, the CO's were extremely rude, and my man told me it was because they'd all just received a major chewing for things like that. I would hate to see my visits or anyone else's messed up...that's all. Sorry :(

During my visit to Corcoran, I was talkin to my babe, and realized...I have been to wayyyyy too many California prisons during the 15 years we have been in a relationship! Wayside, L.A County, NKSP, Donovan, Susanville, Norco, and Corcoran. I feel like I know where way too many of these places are! Anyone else played this game with their man? :mad:

They didn't look too close to me (but being a visitor I don't have a say in the matter, and it really wasn't any of my business anyway.) It just looked like they were sitting closer than the visiting room approved 90 degree angle that they make you sit at at corcoran.

WOW!! Hopefully Level 1 won't be this way. Even though I am ALWAYS on my best behavior, I will make doublely sure I am tomorrow.

It's been my personal experience that when you reach that year mark, that first month or two seem to fly by. But then all of a sudden, you hit (where We're at now) just under 9 months (8mons 3 weeks) and it seems like its taking forever to get to 8 months no weeks!! The last time we did this, once we hit the 6 month mark it started to fly by so fast!! It seemed like I didn't have enough time to get things ready for him to come home. But we will see how it goes this time around!! :confused: Did I make any sense?? :D

Well, I only went yesterday, Friday. Someone told me they heard in processing, that someone did say they were planning on doubling up if it got too crowded.

Next weekend, Labor Day weekend, I'm sure it is going to be SOOOO crowded due to the long weekend and before some folks leave out of town, go back to school & work. Whatcha think???

well my husband comes home in feb 2010 and i love the fact that i know that way i could ask for some time off at work and just stay home with him and also go pick him up and do things with him that we have not done in a long time but i love it.

Next weekend, Labor Day weekend, I'm sure it is going to be SOOOO crowded due to the long weekend and before some folks leave out of town, go back to school & work. Whatcha think???

Yes, it'll be busy. Last labor day weekend it was busy fri/sat/sun, and then not too busy on monday. Hopefully it won't be too busy this labor day monday.

Hey girls! Wooow all this talk about them being strict, over crowding, terminating is giving me knots in my stomach. Our first contact visit is this Labor Day weekend, I understand it will be crowded cause its a 4 day weekend but I gotta see my hunny!! I guess were gonna have to be on our best behavior because he won't know how strict they really are there. I visited today, Level 1. It was full by 11am, they started asking for volunteers or they would start terminating!! I had been there 3 weekends in a row and it never got FULL. Must have beeen a busy weekend!

this is exactly what I was saying to a friend of mine tonight.......stating how things get so busy in visiting, especially at the end of summer; everyone trying to get as many visits in before kids go back to school/college, going back to work, traveling back out of town. Visiting will eventually calm down.........eventually. I can't wait. :D ;) :rolleyes:

Hello everyone. We are at the end of August now and another month closer.
How is everyone? How have visits been. I just want to let you all know i went to visit last Friday and well i was so happy to see my husband but it was so crowded and very very hot. The A/C didn't work well. I think i might just stick to the Saturday or Sunday visits i took a day off and well it really wasn't much better.

You gotta remember it is the end of summer so visiting is going to be worse. When kids are back in school fridays are the shit. They only get half full usually.

Right on girlfriend, I totally agree with you. Friday's will go back to the way they use to be. It is only because it is Summer. It always seems to get like this. The half filled rooms will be back, and I can't wait to go again. Sept 5, here I come. ;)

Wow, I can't believe tomorrow is Sept 1. Time is flying by. Next thing you know it will be Christmas!!! AND it also means yet more months closer to our men coming home to us. Well, at least I keep praying for that day!

Have a wonderfu Labor Day on Monday everyone. School starts back over here for my son this Tuesday. WOW, he's a Senior!!!
