I am hoping to get a special visit to see my friend in Oklahoma State Penitentiary early next year. Has anyone from abroad visited someone in OSP on a special visit and how exactly did you go about arranging one? We are often given conflicting information about the procedure, especially as the unit manager and case manager are not helpful. Could you also tell me how far in advance a special visit can be booked? Thank you!

You have to contact the warden and arragne the visits I am not sure how long in advance you can do it but you can email the warden there at OSP at mike.mullin@doc.state.ok.us

When I had to contact him about my fiancees caseworker not getting him his glasses Mr. Mullin was great about not only answering my emails but about getting on the problem with the glasses. Terry had them within 2 weeks after trying with various case managers for over a year. Needless to say after the warden got aware of it the case manager and unit manager that had given us grief was suddenly VERY helpful.

Don't be afraid to go to the top and contact the warden sometimes you have to to get what you need done. The warden even took the time to talk to Terry in person and tell him what was going on with the situation.
